I still need to check out some of their songs.

I fucking love them.

Dream Theater - Metropolis Part II: Scenes from a Memory (:D).
It's an ok album. There are some really good songs and there are some really bad songs on it.

I haven't listened to it yet, but I really want it, just like all of their other studio albums I have not yet acquired.

have you guys heard Lamb of Gods Burn the Preist album?
i downloaded it and i actually like it better then their other work. its alot heavier, but the riffs are more amature. from their recent work, they had great solos amazing ruffs.
here they go for more of the death metal side of their music.
its great. check it out

Right, I understand what you're saying thar.

but the riffs are more amature.

So heaviness is everything? As long as someone breaks into DM with lamo riffs its good?

DM has always been the grounds to try out technical, experimental riffs for me. I've never really liked standard boring death metal.

It has its uses. Like scaring children. Or fantasising about playing it through a boom box on the bus to drown out (and piss off) the stupid chav girls and their awful 'mint dance tooonz'.

I'm so loved...

During my ban I bought Shadow Gallery's Shadow Gallery and Carved in Stone. Great Progressive Metal, as good as Dream Theater and maybe *gasp* better.

It looks like he just went on myspace, looked up a bunch of bands, and suddenly "liked them."

job for a cowboy aren't even death, they're metalcore that's been death metalized, but with no groove, no real rhythm, and are completely talentless, and yet my friend loves them and everyone at his school thinks their cool for liking an "underground" band, even though they are the pure definition of talentless, repetative garbage that gets played in malls and places like hot topic, thus the phrase "mallcore" definately applies here. WCWBT sound like someone taking a grindcore record, playing it backwards, and using a saw instead of a record player needle, they are utter garbage.

Black dahlia murder I haven't heard anything from so I haven't formed an opinion of them, but if they're anything like any of those other 2, I probably won't like them.

I like Job for a Cowboy because they are funny to listen to, but you're right about the underground part, a lotta people on my school are like this: EEJ DUDEEE CHECKED OUT THE NEW FLUISTERWOUD T-SHIRT/CD, IT'S TOTALLY THE SHIZZLE!!! and they don't even know Fluisterwoud... they're some dumb wannabe skinhead type guys that don't know shit about music
And you can find a lot of underground metal on soundclick, check it out

Black Dahlia Murder check them out I like them and I as far as I think there're nothing like Job for a Cowboy...

I can tolerate Wait for Sleep now. It's just LaBrie's singing in that song I didn't like much. But Moore's keyboard performance is good on that song. :)

Its soooo good, if I'm ever in a state where I need therapy, I'm gonna request he talks to me. Even though he's probably not a real therapist.

Yeah, I listened to Opeth's Blackwater Park album I bought a few months ago a bit more and I'm liking it a lot more now. I remember Nev saying it grows on you and he's right. I didn't give that Opeth album much of a chance. :P I'll have to get a few other Opeth albums.
