VR are pretty crappy, but it's nice to see all of the lads giving it their all, and attempting to get sober.

GNR fuckin' rocks! I saw Velvet Revolver a few weeks ago. It was ok, but the only reason I went is because they played a few GNR tunes, and Slash is the greatest guitarist too. Slash kicked ass. Matt and Duff are also in the band.

Rhapsody used to call themselves Epic Symphonic Metal and i listen to them, but no other epic bands.

Not according to the CD i bought which had a sticker sayin "Epic Symphonic Metal". I know they've been classified as many things including Hollywood but at the moment they're calling themselves Film Score Metal.

Sure you can :) ADVERTISE :)

I'm listening to In Flames' "Lunar Strain" album right now. Awesome, even though the Dark Tranquillity singer is not that good(In case you didn't know, Dark Tranquillitie's singer was the In Flames vocalist at the beginning and Anders Friden from In Flames was with Dark Tranquillity at the beginning :)

Ok Ok, I'm here! Been busy the last few days. Out of town at friends house, workin long hours, etc. Anyway, I'm back for now. Tryin to get some math homework done.. Two weeks till exams, then I'm finished!!

Good luck, I'm through that and looking for work.

Plans for summer: Finger Eleven concert in July, Pick up a second job, make as much money as possible, buy a laptop, drive the shit outta my truck :D, Waterski as much as possible, hopefully with a new slalom ski this year, labour day classic Football game, Winnipeg vs Saskatchewan on labor day weekend.

Sounds very good :)

Anyone else got plans for the summer yet?

Yeah. Having the first gig with our band :) Recording a demo tape, have a job, hope I can go to a huge metal festival with Soilwork, Children of Bodom and Dark Tranquillity playing on the SAME day :)

Okay Wraith, what guitar do you play?

Wow....I got my guitar used, 900 € when it was new.

I've got two; My first one, which is of decent quality, and is very small and light. I use it for practice, since it's so easy to play.

My second one I got a few weeks back, and is AMAZING. I once downtuned everything two steps down, and it played the strings just as well as if they had been in standard tuning. Something to do with adjusting tension and not length. And the active pick-ups are designed specifically for effects such as distortion. The downside is that the neck is quite long, so its hard to play. The headstock is also overbalanced, so it will slip downwards often when on my strap. The strings are pretty thick, which give it a deep tone, but also make it hard to play fast, since you have to press down pretty damn hard if you want to hold down 3 strings with one finger. I usually use it for out little performances or to show off.

My friend who teaches me, is also awesome, he can play solos from lots of bands, awesome.

As I said, I'm self-taught, and am a better bassist than guitarist, but I'm decent in both areas. I do pick up tips from some of the older players. How long have you been playing?

Oh yea, the first one's a Squier Strat, got it for $200. The second is an ESP Baritone, which is for downtuning. The standard price is $800, but I got it for $500. =)

My guitar is a OSMOND STC-33, with tremolo gear for a nice distortion :) It's pretty long as well, and sadly, the belt is quite short, have to get a new and longer one....

Never played bass but I was thinking about it, but I think I'll stick with the 6-string.

I play for about 1 and a half years now, but started exessively with it about 3 months ago, I can't get the hands of that guitar anymore :D
