You know, Motorhead continuously denied being any sort of metal. They always sed that they were just playin, "Rock 'n' roll". I disagree, but you can see how their songs stick to a rock degree. The riffs are just really similar. For example, Eat the Rich. Or Born to Raise Hell. Those songs are pretty much rock. Its a heavier sound though, and went to influence many heavy metal bands. But then again, would you expect a band that was orginal going to be called Bastard to play rock? Actually, you probably would.
