As far as BC Rich Warlocks go, I think they sound terrible either way. Not all BC Riches are HORRIBLE, but they're certainly not the best brand out there as far as sound quality goes. Though, alot of my opinion is because I tend to stick to traditional looking/sounding guitars.

Personally, I love the snarky, brambish tone of Fenders. Most of my guitars are really just beefed up fenders, and I heavily rely on twinblade pickups to do the dirty work. I find that the riffs and palm muting of heavy metal work best with snarky, high-end/midrangy pickups and light bodies like Fenders. As I said, most of my guitars are fender copies with more powerful pickups. I personally hate the warm, slightly muddy gibson sound and the hollow, robotic, BC Rich sound.
