I did after I made the topic.

On the topic of music though, I'm disappointed with this year's Ozzfest line-up. I can honestly say there isn't a single band that I want to go see there. Just all "hardcore" and "emo" music, and Avenged Sevenfold.

I don't mind getting emails when you guys need help dealing with idiots.

Just send one to me, and I'll take care of it. It might take a couple hours, since I'm at work most of the day, but I do follow up when I'm at home.

:)

What about SYL, Dragonforce and The Red Chord? They're all awesome bands.

Response to Metal Hell 2006-06-05 19:28:26

yeah, Ozzfest pretty much blows this year. The ONLY band worth seeing there is DragonForce (whom I already saw like a month or two ago), but not even their awsomeness can make up for the faggotry of all the other bands.

Also, the crowd at Ozzfest is comprised of mostly nu-metal kiddies, so fuckkkk

PS this is w0lf ;/

3 nice bands don't make a nice festival dude.

I'm curious about SYL though, they started playing more commercial music with their new album, yet included almost Manowar-ish pro-metal lyrics. I'm seeing them the 13th, but it won't be the same as seeing Devy taking a piss on all the whiny mallcore kids. That'll be worth it.

Yep I know. Just mentioning them because he said the festival was all mallcore shit.

Fuck. I live in SYL's home city and I still haven't seen them live. At first I didn't like the new album, but it's starting to grow on me. Definitely different from the previous stuff. I really hope they play a seperate headlining show here either before or after Ozzfest.

Response to Metal Hell 2006-06-05 23:59:27

I wasn't aware of Dragonforce being there, or SYL. The only bands I heard were Underoath, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, and a few other bands that spark no interest for me whatsoever. If I manage to get a free ticket from a friend that has an extra or two, then I'd definitely go, if nothing else but to get out of the house and enjoy myself.

I've only heard three, maybe four songs by Dragonforce. They have a nice sound instrumental wise, but on a few of their songs the singing/lyrics didn't impress me too much, although not terrible. They did however have that "cheesy" metal sound (don't get me wrong, I mean that in the best way possible. I love that sound, you know, the generic 80's metal band, I.E Megadeth, "Holy Wars" especially). I'm not sure if you've ever heard of Sonata Artica, but I heard one of their songs "Wolf & the Raven" yesterday, and in a sense it kind of reminded of Dragonforce, although not completely, Dragonforce has a distinct sound seperate from that of Sonata Artica.

SYL is fun to see. I remember them coming to Montreal, and of course it opened up with:
"There sure is a lot of beautiful people in Montreal!"
"YAAA!!"
"TOO BAD NONE OF THEM SHOWED UP FOR THE SHOW"
"YAAA!!"

Also, I can't wait for Blind Guardian to come here. There concert will be the day before my birthday. I'm not sure when tickets will be on sale, but I'll be here waiting.

Happy 6-6-06 everyone, btw! The church and police are both in a slight alarm phase because they're afraid of satan worshippers burning down more churches. Some dunk youths just burned one down last month... I myself don't approve burning churches, not because I would be in favor of the church, but it's vandalism and most of those buildings have historical value. Plus, it gives all metal bad name... How about you? Any pentagram-activity today? ;P

As a sober Dutchman, I absolutely and utterly refuse to have anything to do with that date. It's just a normal day for me. I refuse to do anything special that might even be related to it in the slightest bit.

Ye you too! ^^
Yes,I laughed a lot yesterday, for those news...I wonder what kinda gang is goin't watch that The Omen -movie today,it's sum movie for...ah! I bet you know it,if ya don't use Google. :D

Why the heck people are afraid for date? I mean 06.06.06? That isn't even our right date, cuz our calendar is supported(I didn't find real word, but I hope you understand)for old calender what Romans used,so that's called"Julianic calender"(not sure...)and that is made of different religion, christians only stole it and we got even wrong date!(Jesus didn't born at year"0")
So I dunno what's the big deal,I mean if somewhere tonight sum people burn a church or sum, they are only idiots or drunk(or both)and they have nothing to do with satan's worshipping.
And in China date is 'bout 3500...or else.

666 The Number Of The Beast...whahahahahahha no seriously, in The Netherlands and 23 other countries their actually praying 24 hours to balance the evil forces Satan might bring on this NORMAL day...
Jeezs like Satan hasn't got anything better to do than raising a kid in The Omen and being a gigantic fraud in The Devils Advocate...

But yeah I suddenly felt an urge to listen to Deicide - When Satan rules His world, a well must be just pure coincidence I think.

I wonder that if this topic ever hits page 666 if there's any loony that goes celebrating here...

Response to Metal Hell 2006-06-06 09:19:32

Honestly, I've had enough about this 666 talk. And the ONLY reason it's a big deal here, is probably thanks to that Omen movie previews everyone saw.
The whole general BBS is getting RAPED on countless threads on it, as if they thought they'd be the first to think of making a topic about it. I just hate how gullible and ignorant everyone is. The world didnt end countless other dates that lead to 666, it won't now.
I'd just like to see the general not look so bloody stupid and waste everyones time. It's getting out of hand.

Ditto. Its not even 666. Its 662006. Two thousand years ago it was 666. Now its just people getting a boner of something hardly satanic.

Woooowooowowowowwowwow there now...
We didn't say "yes". First you have to give a list of the metal bands you listen to. Then, a higher power (usually GoatChrist, the founder of the club) will give you the membership.

What's up?

Not much, just gve us a list, okay? :)

Okay, a good start! Go on...!

What's so "Evil" about that number and why is it associated with the Devil or what-not?

You can also hear a snippet of a song off of Slayer's new full-length on their site, www.slayer.net

I don't like the sound of it..but I'll probably get a copy just to check it out.

Okay, what's withe the 6/606 crap? I mean just some regular old day like Duff said. Anyway, I just heard the funniest thing today. This idiot starts whining to me saying "OMG Napalm Death sucks! I heard their songs You suffer! It was so gay. LInkin Park is better! They don't repeat the same things over and over." Yes, the school I go to is full of dumbasses.

Well, at least 06.06.06 is over now.

So, who of you guys think that Cannibal Corpse are generic and boring? Because even if you do, you need to check out their new album "Kill". It's highly technical, somewhat different for CC and rather brutal material with some really great songs. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard it. Very recommended.

Ditto. I remember I had a friend who loved them in HS, and let me have a listen, and to start off, I couldn't even stand the singer. >:(

Also, lately, I havent been able to stop listening to Annihilator. Iunno why, or where the urge came from. But <3 them.
