It depends on which band you mean. Anal Blast, Anal Cunt, Napalm Death, and Despised Icon sound pretty similar to Death Metal. Apparently Anal Cunt is sometimes mistooken for Death metal.

Cannibal Corpse ain't no Grindcore and they are metal and they deserve to be called metal. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that others don't like them. They have lots of fans, they are Death Metal and not Grindcore and as I said, METAL is their genre. Some people like the Gore lyrics, some don't.

Cannibal Corpse is Death Metal. That's kind of the point to Death metal. It's supposed to have lyrical themes about unpleasent things. Though not all Death Metal groups have lyrical themes with sex, mutilation, Death, etc. Also, doesn't Grindcore usually have lyrical themes about politics? Next time do some research on Metal before you make yourself look stupid.

The name's official now, btw: "Misguided" the problem is it's the kind of name that's with the highest probability taken somewhere around the world... :P Anyway, it doesn't tie us to any particular genre which is good since we do everything from Rush and Deep Purple to Opeth and Metallica. And, of course whatever we find enjoyable to play(Disturbed!). ^^ There are six of us and everyone has a bit different taste. The drummer is crazy for Dream Theater, for example. But I bet all the elitists here will soon summon the dark forces against me if I still keep talking about such un-trvv matters. After all, we're not full metal but also hard rock and prog. :P Pardon me.

Pretty good. Way more accessible than my side of the split. The only comparable song is Anger, which, for the first four minutes is fast shit, then it slows down. Sounds kinda like Craft.

This is gonna be some crazy split. On one side, clear, but depressive, mid paced black metal, and on the other side, Mayhem and Emperor on LSD.

Metallica's decline has already started 17 years ago and Stratovarius is also going downhill quite fast..I was never a fan of Metallica or Stratovarius, though.
