just thought id stop in to see what this is about.. hmm metal..
my friends band is awesome.. and the band red tide (from my province.. not quite big yet..) are real good, they are pirate metal and death metal.. but as far as known bands..
In Flames is good melodic death metal. Check out the song colony or bullet ride.

Whole Lotta Metal was incredible! I was right at the front! ROCK ON! Only trouble is, my girlfriend finished with me afterwards and I have been stuck in a really unhappy mood ever since.
I would post a picture of the flyer, but it isn't on the website anymore. But, i can give you a list of the bands and songs featured:

Bands

Deep Purple
Ozzy Osbourne
Kiss
Rainbow
Free
Thin Lizzy
AC/DC
Whitesnake
Led Zeppelin
Van Halen
Bon Jovi
Black Sabbath
Guns N' Roses (ROCK!)
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden

Songs

Highway Star
Run To The Hills
Paranoid
Enter Sandman
Whole Lotta Love
Ace Of Spades
Sweet Child O' Mine
Living On A Prayer
Jump
Whole Lotta Rosie

So it was mostly a pretty good night. :)

Help, I'm trapped inside this guy's signature!

Yeah, it was a good night. I'm busy downloading the songs off the flyer at the moment, as well as revising for my exams! :D

Aaaah, the sweet sweet sounds of "I En Hall Med Og MjÃ,d" (Used Character map to add the accents) and "Over Fjell Og Gjennom Torner." My new found Dark Throne addiction is yet to be exorsised, so I'll be buying their other two rare albums once the needed funds are collected.

Hehe, neat. I like Machine Head's new one. Don't know the others, though.

*listens to In Flames - Pinball Map*

A list of some of their albums that I own, and a short opinion:

Burn My Eyes

A good Debut, powerfull, yet with an edge of skill that has only been bettered by ITAOE.

The More Things Change

A solid follow up, but because they tried to hard to match the sound of BME, it provided little in the way of fresh new music. Still, a decent album that all Machine Head fans must have

Supercharger:

Compared to BME and ITAOE, this was pretty shite. But the song's, despite being poorly played at the time (due to personal reasons, not talent problems), have lots of potential. Maybe some of them'll get revamped. The small bit of rapping on the album must not be discredited, if you protest to know about Rob Flynn's history, you should know why he had to rap those words. Respect to Rob's courage to come open about the meaning behind two of the songs in Metal Hammer (Big MH fans'll know which I'm talking about.)

ITAOE

A kick ass Heavy Metal Album. The likes of Left Unfinished and Imperium left my jaw dropping, only to be picked up and promptly dropped right through the floor again when heard live (Much better live, I tell thee! A whole fucking lot better!) A must buy. I seriously mean it, if any heavy metal/MH fan DOESN'T own this album, then they should be taken outside AND FUCKING SHOT!

I agree wuth that one, it's their best, in my opinion. Imperium is a great song, indeed.

But the album is called "Through the ashes of Empires" :) , not "in"

if i had a digital camera i would and if i had a scanner, i would just buy one of those one time use ones. instead, you'll just have to make due with my brilliant use of imagery and descriptive language (that's right. i pay attention in Lit. class.).

Oh sweet Lord. One of the best things happened sunday. So I'm at work sunday listening to the House of Hair on 101 WRIF like around 9 am, and the great Dee Snider decided to read a request. He said, "This next request is from the Motor City". I thought to myself, sweet, Detroit. As Dee reads on, it turns out it was my request I sent in a long time ago! I didn't realize he would pick mine! I just stopped what I was doing, and listened to the whole thing, I couldn't believe it! That made my day! I requested the greatest song, Dr. Feelgood, and I was all smiles. I tried to catch the replay of HOH (because it's a syndicated show) out in Lansing, but I had to work 13 hrs. Damn, I wanted to record it. But does anyone else listen to HOH, and did you hear it?!?!

I think I sent it in around mid March. Man oh man I couldn't believe it! I wrote him again to see if he can get me a recording of the show for me so I can prove it to my friends.
