Rammstein...hmm...I don't really like them, although I have no problem with people who do. Their music seems very bland to me now, as I used to be a fan. They are pretty funny though.

you're not alone, almost every 'tr00' metalhead I know likes Rammstein. Of course they all realize they're not metal, but just cool industrial hardrock. I've been a fan since I was 11 or something

The band's finally chosen the stereotypical "unneccessarily death-metal-ified cover of an alt-rock song" cover for our live shows, and the honor goes to Primus' "Too Many Puppies". Our first show will likely be in late June, presuming we can get the speakers and rigs set up soon enough.

So I will introduce you to Svartsyn. They are good Swedish Black Metal, with Burzum-ish atmospere-ness, and Imoortal style attitude. Might not sound good as a description but I swear they are good.

I picked up Synchestra by The Devin Townsend Band the other day. It's quite different from what I expected of Devin, but I love it. I recommend it. I've also started listening to Pelican lately. Interesting stoner/sludge/doomy stuff. They've given me a reason to go to Taste of Chaos besides killing scene kids in the pit.

I'm a huge SYL fan, so I figured I'd check them out. I was expecting something along the lines of a lighter SYL, but jesus fuck. Honestly, it blew me away. Bloody brilliant album. I'll be looking into their older stuff as well now. I'm still a bit pissed that I got into them AFTER the big CD release party here a few weeks ago, but I guess I'll have to wait a while to see them live.

I got Kalmah's "The Black Waltz" yesterday and it is BY FAR their best album. Awesome shit. The vocals are better than ever (a lot deeper than before, most of the time), the riffs are terrific. Their new drummer is a lot better as well.

Actually, I don't... I don't do death metal that much. On the other hand, I did get that long ass named mexican band's LP on vinyl. It's like latter day Carcass, but heavier and faster. It's really hilarious.
