Hey guys! I've been away from the Metal Hell for a while. But I see it's been active a lot lately, so I guess I'll thrown in my two cents!
Metallica just dropped their newest album, what do you guys think about it? 8 years between Death Magnetic and Hardwired! Crazy, ugh? Especially considering that 8 years is pretty much the time lapse that Metallica took to release their first five albums, Kill Em' All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, And Justice For All and the black album.
Also, have you guys seen the video for their track manUNkind?
Seems like the project to adapt the book Lords Of Chaos into a movie is still going on! This video is a good proof of that. I know it sparked debates, especially among the black metal community, that a movie like this was going to be made about the early years of Mayhem and Norwegian black metal in the early 90's. What do you guys think of it?
I personnally think that the video looks like a parody, and I think that if the movie is going to be anything like that videoclip, then it's just gonna end up looking like a very bad joke. And I've always felt that doing justice to this very disturbing story that is behind the early years of the second wave of black metal in Norway would not be an easy task. I don't know how this story can be told in a way that won't make it look like a parody of the real events.
Bolt Thrower - Blind To Defeat
Oh! And I've finally decided to start listening to some Bolt Thrower! I know this band has been big since... even before I was born, but I just gave them a try for the first time yesterday. And I think it's amazing death metal!
