Man I really want to listen to these, but have been busy with NG Radio (which requires my ears)! I might check a few out today. Only albums I've purchased lately have been the new Carnifex (REALLY well done) and the new Periphery (meh).

I'd say OM is the only truly "Stoner Doom" one there. Pentagram are just straightforward Doom and Lord Vicar and Witchcraft are more "traditional doom" or whatever. I mean if they get into Sleep they'd end up getting into both OM and High on Fire as well since they're offshoots of Sleep. Which is why I chose not to list OM. Also they're very Sleep like but highly religious and and more chill and have (had) two members of Sleep in em.

We do. I try posting lesser known bands to try to get whoever DOES still roam this thread to listen to them.
Like I've posted shit like Monolord, Salem's Pot, Holy Serpent, and Pyraweed. I doubt very many people in this thread actively listen to really any of those bands.

Okay. If you want fast and heavy doom....High in Fire. Them and I guess Lair of the Minotaur are the onlybands I can think of off the top of my head who have the distinct honor of being able to merge Thrash and Doom together. Two very very VERY different subgenres. Then again I guess Speed Doom wouldn't exist period... there can be Doom mixed with Power Metal though.

What did you listen to? Because their new album is the one that pops up. They have 6. Listen to either The Basted or The August Engine.
