DARK ANGEL
For anyone that feels like giving it a listen, here are both Heavy Rocks albums by Boris.

I've listened to the tracks Denied and Jack of Diamonds, and this band is almost as commercial as Amaranthe. When it comes to melodic death metal, bands like Insomnium, Kalmah, Nightrage and Arsis do a much better job than these melodeath/metalcore clone bamds.

The auctions for items being sold to help aid the members of the band Baroness have started.
You can find the items being auctioned off here
http://www.ebay.com/sch/baronessrelief2013/m.html?_nkw&_armr s=1&_from&_ipg&_trksid=p3686
So far the item with the highest amount on it is a snare drum signed by Neurosis and Sleep.
The snare in question was used on Times Of Grace, Sovereign, A Sun That Never Sets, Live In Lyon, Live In Stockholm, and The Eye Of Every Storm and every tour for those records. It was also used on the 2010 Sleep tour with Jason Roeder joined Sleep. And to whoever wins along with the snare you get a copy of every album the snare was used on and tour stuff from the Sleep tour the snare was used on. Some of which is also signed.

Cool stuff :) Lots of vinyls and quite a few signe cymbals and drums. And you say the profits are for the members of Baroness?

Yep. Every dime goes directly to the band members.
The main stuff I want to bid on is either one of those signed Red Fang posters or one of those Kylesa vinyls.
though I was just looking at that picture signed by John Baizley and wouldn't mind having that. haha
There is no way in hell I'd bid on that Sleep/Neurosis snare because I wouldn't begin to have enough to pay for that o.o
even though that would be REALLY awesome to have and I will envy whoever gets it....
Oh, and I think I've hurt the feelings of Daniel Olaisen, who's the guitarist and founder of Blood Red Throne :'(
I think I should stop picking fight with my favorite musicians...

These bands are metal, the others are mostly deathcore, metalcore, post-hardcore, etc. And this isn't really what we discuss around here. If you're still interrested to join, I think you might like some of the bands we discuss in the Metal Hell.
-Sabbeth
What's this band?
Black Thorns in the White Cube
"An exhibition of Black Metal artworks is a thorny occasion. Summoned by Amelia Ishmael, âEUoeBlack Thorns in the White CubeâEU is a traveling exhibition presenting a selection of photography, prints, drawings, and artist books by eight contemporary artists who are influenced by the heavy, dark, and mystic obscurity of Black Metal music. Based in the United States and Europe participating artists include Alexander Binder (Stuttgart, Germany), Vincent Como (Brooklyn), Terence Hannum (Baltimore), Karlynn Holland (Brooklyn), Elodie Lesourd (Paris, France), Aaron Metté (Brooklyn), Christophe Szpajdel (Exeter, U.K.), Grant Willing (Brooklyn), and Tereza Zelenkova (London, England). Engaging with the symbols, history, and myths of the Black Metal music subculture, their images explore haunted Germanic forests, descents into the void, visual translations of sonic experiences, ontologies of Black Metal band logos, and barren western landscapes. Together their artwork contributes to the discourse currently occurring in Black Metal theory, examines the innovations and significance of contemporary Black Metal visual art, and offers an account of its critical disruptions."
My girlfriend found out about this exposition and shared it with me. I thought it could be of some interest to you guys. In my opinion, this is one hell of a good idea for a project!
Stolen Babies - Push Button
I need more instrumental or not so much vocal-driven sludge/doom/stoner metal to listen to when I study, because voices distract me and melodic stuff too, and I already had too much Bongripper, Ufomammut, Lento, Sleep, Om, Eagle Twin and Pelican.

I'd suggest Karma To Burn but they're just Stoner Metal....
You could try Moss, Bong, Dark Buddha Rising though if you want.
Or maybe Samothrace. Though they're a weird Blues-based Stoner Doom Metal band.

That kind of stuff might not be exactly what you're looking for though....
I was curious what everyone's opinion on Church Of Misery was.
I downloaded the rest of their discography not too long ago so thats why I'm bringing this up.
I only had their split with Sheavy, their split with Acrimony, Houses Of The Unholy, Master Of Brutality, and Live At Roadburn 2009.

Yeah, I know Karma to Burn I just never had the opportunity to listen to it. I've also heard about Moss and Bong, I might check it out. And I think I've heard of Dark Buddha Rising, I'll give them a listen. And Samothrace is brutal! Never heard about them, very cool concept!

Good to see I'm not the only one who loves Ufomammut. Lucifer Songs and Snailking are amon the best atmospheric sludge albums ever.

Ufomammut is made of pure divinity.

Well good. I recommended bands to you that you already knew, hahaha.
I'm friends with the bassist from Dark Buddha Rising on last.fm.

Indeed! I don't remember exactly how I heard of them. But I know its because I was reading some reviews on Metal-Archives a few days ago and saw someone mention that a band I listen to sounded mildly similar to them. So I decided to check them out.

This band still exists :O I'll actually have to give it a listen, but I really thought the band ended up splitting up after he departure of Tolki
I really need to show you guys this.
I don't know if you're aware that in Portugal we have a unique and traditional type of music called Fado. Well, this band managed to mix Metal and Fado, and this song is pretty damn solid!
