I much preferred Blood Mountain and Crack the Skye over the Hunter and Leviathan, so I hope it's more like those. Leviathan and the Hunter were still good, though.
HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!

Yeah I pretty much take everything Varg says with a grain of salt. The man is as much of a windbag as Bill O'Reilly or Rush Limbaugh (2 blowhards who are radio/tv personalities in murka)

In "Until the Light Takes Us", Varg was describing how he rebelled against the Americanization of Norway by firing upon a McDonalds. So, that could be the start of it all, but I feel like he's crazy to begin with. it seems like whatever ideology he gets involved in, he really get involved in.
But you can't deny the man had some pretty great albums. I know many won't agree with me, but I even liked
Dauði Baldrs, despite the fact it has very little of what his earlier albums had.

I like the debut album, and the dark ambient albums he had. But knowing the shit he does and the shit he says, I just lose my respect for anything he does. If I had bought any of his albums in ignorance, I think I would sell them right after I knew the shit that comes out of his brain, I can't support a man as him.
Liberals defend the exploitation of man by man, Conservatives defend the reverse.

I'm actually surprised they let her through the first round. "Anything" Idol is general just a circle jerking fest of popshit celebrating popshit and puking their contempt for anything that isn't what they've already heard a few hundred times.

I feel really bad for admitting this, but even though I try to separate every artist's personality and beliefs from the music they make, I just can't do that with Varg. Everything I've ever heard him say is just so repugnant that I can't really get into his music at all.

Varg is a repugnant excuse for a human being.
I'm going to see King Diamond in the summer, pretty cool, also maybe Kreator and Bolt thrower.
Who's checked out Rotting Christ's new album?
I didn't really have much time today so I just listened to the first couple of tracks. Sounds pretty damn good. How would you rank it compared to stuff like Theogonia and AEALO?
Just got diagnosed yesterday with an incurable thyroid condition. I'm actually glad. It's easily treatable and just involves taking medication to compensate for my fucked up thyroid gland, which is cool, because this will hopefully end the crushing nausea, rapid heartrate, temperature issues, dizziness, fainting, etc... which have become the norm in my life for the last few weeks.
I know this isn't metal related, but I've been going here long enough (I think I made my first metal hell post when the posts were in the double digits) that personal life shit is relevant here. Oldfag privilege I guess.

That's bad news. At least its treatable and won't cause too much shit in your life if you follow the medication.

If you like Sludge like Mastodon, you might enjoy ISIS, High On Fire, and maybe the albums Pink and Heavy Rocks by Boris.
If you like Blackened Death Metal like Behemoth, you might like Panzerchrist, Blood Red Throne, Nader Sadek and Benighted.
Job For a Cowboy have released both deathcore and tech death (not really good tech death IMO) but maybe if you like them, you'd like Through The Eyes Of The Dead.
Tyrannic Ethical Reconstruction
This band is just amazing. It is former bands of actual and former members of Fleshgod Apocalypse. I've found out about them while doing some digging on Fleshgod Apocalypse. And since the band seems to be committed to playing boring pseudo-symphonic death metal since the album Agony, I've figured the best way to go from this point was backward. Oracles is a masterpiece of an album, and I really wanted to hear some more good material from these guys. And now I've found this. This band, Tyrannic Ethical Reconstruction was fucking ace! And now I can't seem to find the way to get their demos. I've found them on the Internet, but can't seem to find a way to download them or even to buy the albums.
If anybody knows a way, I'd appreciate any kind of help with this. Otherwise, enjoy the music for it is super awesome thrash death metal right there!

Yes. Its not as good as the first one. But it still has some good stuff.
Heres one of my favorite songs off of it.

Also I seriously hope they bring out another Heavy Rocks album. The orange and purple ones are really good.

I just can't find the orange Heavy Rocks anywhere on eBay... and I need it! I've got a physical copy of Absolutego and also of their collab with Sunn O))), Altar. But I definitely need to get Heavy Rocks, and then I'll try to get Pink and the most difficult... Smile in the japanese version.
I can't listen to the track right now, but I'll do it tomorrow.
