Yeah you do make a point....I guess I'll see if I can get a Paypal thing set up at some point.

You'll be thankful to be using eBay. A £12 CD from there easily beats a stupid price like £40 that can happen on Amazon.

Well, it could have been a whole lot worse. They really started to lose it in the top 10 and I was willing to blank out Trivium for a moment. There is a huge lack of folk metal and traditional metal here. I could probably make a more balanced list covering 21st century metal songs.
I was mildly okay with some of the list, and was glad they included High On Fire and Baroness. I didn't really expect to see either of them on there going off of what I was seeing before them.
And you should totally do that dude :P

I did look into my top picks for metal songs and have over 300 marked down already. Should be easy to make a list that easily outdoes that one.

Way too much fake metal. Too much Death Metal. Not enough Black, Doom, Prog, Folk, etc.

That's my gripe right there. Far too much focus on death metal and not enough on the rest of the genres. If you can't even name a single folk metal song, a genre that has been dominating since the 21st century in metal, then clearly there is something wrong with them. But don't worry, I've made sure to cover at least something from everything except for drone metal which I'm not highly fond of but I'm sure you understand.

That is really weird...I went to go do that and apparently I have a paypal but totally forgot about it...doesn't have any money in it though.

Hmm...you could do a Top 100 instead of 50....if you end up doing it that is ._.

Besides, those who make those lists usually don't understand what metal is really about. Unless they're Ruthless Reviews, and the lists are like "Top 10 most ridiculous Wacken pics" or "Top 10 Most ridiculous Black Metal pictures"

I've been hearing good things about the band Propagandhi, and before I jumped in, I wanted to know if any of you have listened to their stuff and where is the best place to start with them.

Pretty damn bad. I started skimming when I saw Gwar, then laughed when I saw Slipknot.

I was expecting a much worse list, in all honesty. Wouldn't be my personal picks, but hey. It could've been a LOT worse.

Slipknot headlining over Cannibal Corpse, dethklok, lamb of god, Serj Tankian and Deftones?
That's just plain wrong.

Are you serious about this ? The whole set is a complete fucking joke. Cannibal Corpse and Gojira shouldn't be on this fucking festival at all. This is an obvious Nu-Metal/Groove Metal/Metalcore show and Cannibal Corpse is a Death Metal band. They only have themselves to blame.

And actually, no other band should be headlining on this gig. Slipknot is an iconic Nu-Metal band and always deliver great live performances.

I wouldn't go to this festival anyway :P

ever have one of those nights?....

the laptop i use had it's harddrive wiped clean before i knew what was happening earlier tonight
wiped out EVERYTHING
lost all the tracks i did..the videos....and everything i had downloaded (I.e. a ton of music and a lot of pics)
figures this happened before i was about to make back up files for everything too.
good thing is this thing is now working tits again
knocked me back a week easy but just looking at it as a brand new and better start.
technology can really suck sometimes
least in a couple more weeks i hit a stage again for the first time in about 20 years...gonna make it all worth it

and lest i forget....hey Ghoul bro...would you be interested in being on a split release with my side project Infinite Torture? may throw on a track or to by the Bulb as well....since i already have a release on Depressive Illusions Records i should have no trouble having them release it. thinking maybe a ltd edition release to start of maybe 100 tapes and cds to start...let me know and i can begin setting it up.

shit is in motion now...ain't no stopping

Might as well try 50 for now but 100 is doable. I've only looked as far as O artists so I still need to look into the rest.

This is why I really like using an external hard drive. All my music and pictures are stored on there so if the laptop is in need of a reformat, I still have all my stuff saved. However, there are bad stories from people using external hard drives due to them supposedly being easier to crash but I've had mine for five years now and had no problems with it whatsoever.

I've posted this thread about Genesis on the general forums, and it doesn't seem to get much attention. If you guys are interrested, I'd like to have your opinion on this.

For me, I really like the albums Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England By the Pound, and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. All are excellent albums....but I got to go with Selling England by the Pound. Dance of the Moonlit Knight, Firth of Fith, and The Battle of Epping Forest are easily some of the best tracks they have ever done. If you can only get one album, it's this one, but the others I mentioned are definitely worth checking out.

Yeah, after some Doctor Who I will look at the rest of the songs. With my recent obsession with Doctor Who, I was curious about any bands that have made any songs for the franchise but only came across one song. Would have expected a lot more to be honest.

The only one I don't have from there is The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. At least it's one I'll consider getting next whenever I'm ready for a next batch of CDs to buy.
