Well, it could have been a whole lot worse. They really started to lose it in the top 10 and I was willing to blank out Trivium for a moment. There is a huge lack of folk metal and traditional metal here. I could probably make a more balanced list covering 21st century metal songs.I was mildly okay with some of the list, and was glad they included High On Fire and Baroness. I didn't really expect to see either of them on there going off of what I was seeing before them.
And you should totally do that dude :P
I did look into my top picks for metal songs and have over 300 marked down already. Should be easy to make a list that easily outdoes that one.

That's my gripe right there. Far too much focus on death metal and not enough on the rest of the genres. If you can't even name a single folk metal song, a genre that has been dominating since the 21st century in metal, then clearly there is something wrong with them. But don't worry, I've made sure to cover at least something from everything except for drone metal which I'm not highly fond of but I'm sure you understand.
