Here are the titles for the God Was Created demo, so you have an idea of what the lyrics are about:

Demo title: "Irrecoverable"

1. Annihilated
2. Degeneration of the Human Race
3. Religion - An Incurable Disease

Hahaha it sounds like Black Death's demo (as far as the song titles are concerned). You guys sounds awesome :) How's Coffinfeeder going?

Thanks :) I do the grindstuff all on my own, like Shores of Sheol :)

Coffinfeeder is going very well, we now have the line-up completed. We have about 6 songs right now(including a few covers)

GC- Sweet, and I wish success to all who try

Merry Krimas everyone, I only scored Machine Head's "Burn My Eyes" and a kickass pair of earbuds (probably the best sounding I've ever had) as far as music goes, but I got a gift card to grab another cd...

Anyone else get anything cool?
(I must be getting redundant...lol)

Response to Metal Hell 2005-12-25 15:00:41

Bah, I got:

30GB iPod
COB - Are You Dead Yet?
Quiet Riot - Metal Heath
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Despised Icon - The Healing Process
Arch Enemy - Dead Eyes See No Future
3 Inches Of Blood - Advance And Vanquish
Wallet chain )one of those small ones, not the huge faggoth ones)
Money
Candy
Shirts

well guys, I'm setting up a website for "God Was Created" and I have a song almost done for you to listen.

Response to Metal Hell 2005-12-25 17:56:03

Well, here we go, some fine Death/Grind for you :P

God Was Created - Annihilated

some opinions, please :P

Response to Metal Hell 2005-12-25 20:06:19

I got a Mayhem (the only band who'll I'll wear a tee from) tee, and a bunch of other tees, a couple pairs of 30/34 jeans (they RARELY make em), and a Berzerker CD (Dissimulate). What do I have to say about it?

Sweet mother of GOD The Drummer is fast.

Oh, and I then bought myself an ulver CD and a webcam and (finally) an electric drumset. My drumming skillz0rz are right about par with Trym Torssen on the kit. :P I practice a lot.

Ipod just sucks ass it seems :P LISTEN TO MY SONG :P (link above)

Thanks Ghoul, the other two songs for the demo are in the works ;)

GChrist - DLed the song, sounded wicked with two (minor) exceptions...The distortion in the vocals sorta overpowered...um, everything else, IDK if that was intentional or not. Also, my personal preference is to have the vokills just a teenie teenie bit louder. However, the muscianship is dead on. The drums and riffs were killer, and I liked it (which is good, because I usually don't like grind much)

I got some pretty cool stuff myself. My sister has been in Kenya for the past few months and one of the warriors from a tribe she lived with gave her a couple of throwing spears as a gift when she left. They're real spears with tempered iron heads used to hunt big game. She gave them to me for Christmas : D

Other than that:
Vancouver Canucks jersey
How To Survive The Robot Uprising (book)
Portable speakers
Star Wars Battlefront II
Book store gift cards
Photo printer

The 'real' drummer is pretty good, yes, but not THAT fast

All the drums on Dissmlate are done with a real drummer. The Berzerker (self-titled) is the album done with a drum machine.

Yep. The Drummer, though is bass drum is triggered, is still a human drummer.

"I like metal music. However, most metal music is brick stupid. I wanted to put together a list of intelligent metal music for people who are not familiar with the genre, so they aren't left thinking the entire group is as dumb as, say, Pantera.

1. Slayer - South of Heaven: one of the first truly apocalyptic works of music to emerge from America, this album explores the ways and means of our eventual collapse.

2. Prong - Beg to Differ: a strong statement of social independence, BTD is an album about a lack of standards compliance with a system that has lost its own authenticity.

3. Voivod - Dimension Hatross: progressive speed metal with a futuristic and cyberpunk touch, Voivod makes an album entirely from raw creativity, fusing a new style of dissonant chording, offtime lead rhythm playing, and bizarre song structures.

4. Morbid Angel - Blessed Are the Sick: this album is so subtly musical that often it takes several listens to realize where its sleight of hand technicality manifests itself, but what is most impressive is that it does so without losing intensity at all.

5. Incantation - Onward to Golgotha: sounding like a demon emerging from hell, this visceral masterpiece of onslaught nevertheless features classically-inspired song structures and eternally monumental riffing.

6. Demilich - Nespithe: described by many as the weirdest metal album ever, this jazzy uptemp CD features a cryptogram of lyrics, left field melanges of themes expressed in riff, and some of the most unique and soulful soloing in popular music.

7. Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss: a fusion of ambient music and ultra-simple metal, this album evokes the spirit of dark woods, predators and warriors, and the values of an ancient era.

8. Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse: the word "majestic" begins to describe this masterpiece, in which an interleaving of keyboards and soaring guitars produces cavalcades of noise harmonized into melody.

9. Gorgoroth - Antichrist: done in a satire of 1920s cinema, "Antichrist" mocks all of our fears of evil in intricately compact melodic constructions.

10. Averse Sefira - Tetragrammatical Astygmata: wondering about the links between strength of will, DNA, and kabbalistic ritual? A fusion of aggressive metal with contemplative romantic wanderings, Averse Sefira render into melody an introspective art.

agreed

2. Prong - Beg to Differ: a strong statement of social independence, BTD is an album about a lack of standards compliance with a system that has lost its own authenticity.

sorry, disagree

3. Voivod - Dimension Hatross: progressive speed metal with a futuristic and cyberpunk touch, Voivod makes an album entirely from raw creativity, fusing a new style of dissonant chording, offtime lead rhythm playing, and bizarre song structures.

maybe, Voivod aren't that special.

Both aren't really great; just textbook death metal.

6. Demilich - Nespithe: described by many as the weirdest metal album ever, this jazzy uptemp CD features a cryptogram of lyrics, left field melanges of themes expressed in riff, and some of the most unique and soulful soloing in popular music.

agreed

7. Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss: a fusion of ambient music and ultra-simple metal, this album evokes the spirit of dark woods, predators and warriors, and the values of an ancient era.

filosofem and Hlidskjalf were better; I think Burzum didn't get weird enough

8. Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse: the word "majestic" begins to describe this masterpiece, in which an interleaving of keyboards and soaring guitars produces cavalcades of noise harmonized into melody.

On my stereo, it sounds like static. I think that Prometheus: Discipline of Fire and Demise is eons better, in terms of cerebral appeal and thought.

9. Gorgoroth - Antichrist: done in a satire of 1920s cinema, "Antichrist" mocks all of our fears of evil in intricately compact melodic constructions.

Sorry, but Under the Sign of Hell was better.

10. Averse Sefira - Tetragrammatical Astygmata: wondering about the links between strength of will, DNA, and kabbalistic ritual? A fusion of aggressive metal with contemplative romantic wanderings, Averse Sefira render into melody an introspective art.

I've been there, but I feel he is basically a pretentious addict of large words and obscure sentances.

And I think we all know what the dark legions are, no need for additional publicity...

Not bad but overrated.

2. Prong - Beg to Differ: a strong statement of social independence, BTD is an album about a lack of standards compliance with a system that has lost its own authenticity.

I don't agree with that one at all. Don't like Prong.

3. Voivod - Dimension Hatross: progressive speed metal with a futuristic and cyberpunk touch, Voivod makes an album entirely from raw creativity, fusing a new style of dissonant chording, offtime lead rhythm playing, and bizarre song structures.

Voivod isn't too good either.

4. Morbid Angel - Blessed Are the Sick: this album is so subtly musical that often it takes several listens to realize where its sleight of hand technicality manifests itself, but what is most impressive is that it does so without losing intensity at all.

A very good album, probably the best MB album.

5. Incantation - Onward to Golgotha: sounding like a demon emerging from hell, this visceral masterpiece of onslaught nevertheless features classically-inspired song structures and eternally monumental riffing.

Also very good, but not their best.

6. Demilich - Nespithe: described by many as the weirdest metal album ever, this jazzy uptemp CD features a cryptogram of lyrics, left field melanges of themes expressed in riff, and some of the most unique and soulful soloing in popular music.

I agree.

7. Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss: a fusion of ambient music and ultra-simple metal, this album evokes the spirit of dark woods, predators and warriors, and the values of an ancient era.

Not the best Burzum album. I prefer others.

8. Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse: the word "majestic" begins to describe this masterpiece, in which an interleaving of keyboards and soaring guitars produces cavalcades of noise harmonized into melody.

I prefer IX Equillibrium, my favourite work by them.

9. Gorgoroth - Antichrist: done in a satire of 1920s cinema, "Antichrist" mocks all of our fears of evil in intricately compact melodic constructions.

Pentagram is quite a lot better than this one.

10. Averse Sefira - Tetragrammatical Astygmata: wondering about the links between strength of will, DNA, and kabbalistic ritual? A fusion of aggressive metal with contemplative romantic wanderings, Averse Sefira render into melody an introspective art.

Never heard of it.

me and my friends will be starting a metal/punk band very soon. it will probably be called ubermorgen. (there should be an umlaut over the u) it means the day after tomorrow in german. ja, deutche rocks. i even set it as the language on my iPod.
so anyway, yeah we'll probably be fooling around with the german in the songs. i actually wrote an entire song in german, but it sucked. i happen to be the bassist.
im thinking the first album or tour or whatever we do should be called the bloody quintet, seeing as there will be five people in the band. (vocalist, bass, guitar, drum, backup vocalist) yeah so keep an eye out for us
Auf wiedersehen!
