And tell me, how do you think Amplifier Worship ranks compared to Absolutego?
I have Absolutego, but I only listened to it once, maybe twice. It didn't do much for me. However, this is coming from someone who isn't much into drone and only rarely listens to it. And it's usually only while I'm high and there's nobody around so I can blast it and feel the vibration while I lie down and stare at the ceiling, though when I do that, it's usually more drony sludge stuff like Ufommamut.
I don't think there are much people who make extensive listenning of Drone or Drone/Doom. To fully appreciate the music you have to play it loud, do nothing else so you can be in the good state of mind to listen to it and relax. Plus, you have to be in the good mood to enjoy such music and you need to be willing to listen to music for an extended period of time, since Drone really is more appreciable when you immerse yourself in the music.
So I didn't give more than three listens to Absolutego, yet I think it's a Drone masterpiece.

I've never listened to Boris. What genre are they and what should I start with?
Their music ranges from Dreampop to Stoner Rock/Metal and from Sludge to Drone/Doom.
Absolutego
Amplifier Worship
Flood
are some of their heavy, slow, sludgey and droning albums. By the way, they also released a Drone Doom album with Sunn O))) named Altar. Amazing release :)
Heavy Rocks
Pink
Akuma No Uta
are more on the Stoner Rock/Stoner Metal side.
I do not really know their more "pop" oriented albums all that well, so I won't pronounce myself on those.

So, this must be an April Fool's joke, right?
....right?
Seems like it, especially considering the fact that the Forums are still up and running.
