well i cant deny the fact that their older albums are better than the newer ones...
i cant really decide which would be my favorite though
its too hard to decide that
Only a few Dimmu Borgir albums are worth it. The first two albums they released, starting with For All Tid and the second is Stormblåst. And whatever you do, never listen to the supposedly "remastered" version of Stormblåst they released in 2005 under the name Stormblåst MMV. It's pure shit.
After these two, they released another decent record, which is Enthrone Darkness Triumphant and from this point on, it all went downhill. Their most recent releases are complete jokes. Hot Topic Commercial Teenage Wannabe-Gothic Wannabe Metal is the musical genre they are playing nowadays.

Awesome, it's always cool to talk with someone who agrees haha. Really, not many here listen to Blood Red Throne? They're great! Although right now, Facebreaker is my death metal obsession. I just recently got Dead, Rotten, and Hungry, and while it is certainly nothing new or amazing and is really quite simple, it's one of the grooviest death metal albums I have to date, and I love to groove.
I'll check out that other band you mentionned. I know some people in the Hell also like Blood Red Throne, but we rarely have big discussions on the band, their side-projects, etc. I think they are the most amazing active Death Metal band.

Don't be hating, i've legitimately listened to more Shakira in the month of January than I have any metal bands.
I'm not, but I know you thought about it before posting that :P You did that with the will of getting a reaction. Admit that :P
Her older music was legit good spanish music, before she learned english and went from great to mediocre-but-still-fun. haha
First album I've heard by her was Laundry Service... Before that I was too young to really make music researches and find music out on my own. I can't say I ever bothered digging deeper in her music, especially considering the way she evolved later on in her career.
Anywho, I know a lot of you like Fleshgod Apocalypse, but what do you guys think of MaYan? They're technical death metal, but symphonic, as well. It's a side-project of Epica and God Dethroned.
Dunno them!
Also, this is a list of concerts i've decided i'm attending:
Feb 10th: Biohazard / Madball
March 9th: Iced Earth / Symphony X / Warbringer
March 26th: D.R.I. / Lich King / Skull Hammer
March 30th: Paganfest Part III
April 5th: Opeth / Mastodon / Ghost
May 5th: Arch & Matheos (Only USA show)
May 19th: Meshuggah / Baroness / Decapitated
May 20th: Ulcerate / Tombs (If I meet the age restrictions, venue is TBA)
June 28th-30th: Warriors of Metal Fest and pre-party.
I will most likely be going to the Opeth / Mastodon / Ghost tour. I've heard good things about Ghost, and I'd really like to see Mastodon live. And Opeth is always fun, so there is nothing that should restrain me from going to that gig.
Also, if Alcest/Deafheaven announce a closer date to me, or if i'm presented with a free ticket to a show, i'll go to that too. Also, i'm waiting with battered breath for the upcoming Insomnium, Agalloch, Morbid Saint and Helloween/Stratovarius tours to announce dates.
Alcest is a must for me. And if Agalloch tours again through the US, Canada and Quebec, I will see them once again. Amazing band :)
