I bought the new arcturus cd... Vortex is great as usual. Hellhammer is great as usual... But I really dont get all the 'space' and the modern atmosheperic crap... I dunno. I was ok, but la masquarade infernale is a wonder that shall only happen once in a lifetime... Makes me sad.

Makes me sad too... Aspera Hiems Symphonia was cliche symphonic crap, though the Sham Mirrors, in my opinion, was a much more mature, albiet much less interesting than LMI, attempt.

Oh and Vortex only guest vocalled on The Chaos Path and Painting My Horror on LMI. And on all other Arcturus albums (with the exception of their newest) it was Krisstofer Rygg (A.k.a. Garm) singing.

I feel like I should post just to bump this thread back up...Slow times I guess...

Well, I saw them LIVE ;) and they were pretty damn good. They also have a cute looking female bassist, as far as I can remember :)

Not really metal I know, but this is just to demonstrate roughly how the production on my BM track will sound when it's complete.

This started out as a rough sketch, just guaging guitar sounds and stuff. The mix was thrown together pretty quickly, but it didn't turn out half bad.

Anyway, it's a Killswitch Engage cover, so listen to it with a verrrrry open mind ;)

The production is kinda...weird..? There is something that just sounds differen than usual sound.. dunno... somethin special? I just cant define what it is though. Anyway its hard to listen to killswitch engage open-mindedly, but as they are pretty much the best amongst the things I dislike, I tried to be objective. CONGRATS. Now go for the fuckin BM!!! Make BM proud\!!!

Just so you know, that's one of the few KSE songs I like anymore. But that was fucking awesome. The quality is amazing. Just for fun, I synched it with the original; you did it perfectly. Awesome work, I can't wait to hear any BM you come up with.
