hell yeah they have been slow, they never accepted or rejected teh review i left for one of your albums ages ago(on of the ones you can find on ng) and they still havnt accpeted or rejected nakedsouls(submited it 2 months ago)

They still haven't accepted my submission of Kali Yuga. (And your spelling=the shittiest ever) The other dude, my friend, submitted a review for Memories of Discord (the full length) about a month ago and it hasn't been accepted. >=(

Blaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggg

ggggh

And Lykaki, I consider myself a lucky man. On the other hand, I think everyone else (besides Duffeknol, HaxXoRz[numbers] and so on) knows that her parents are Pentecostal christians =( Hope remains, she is now into Immortal, Mayhem, and Borknagar. =) On the other hand, I ain't feelin well lately, and Natalie's anxious for me to get better, because we don't cheat on each other ;). I suppose I shall start recording again once I regain my voice, my head quits hurting, and I regain my strength.
yeah being sick sucks. and having a gf into metal must be awesome =P rare to come by in my case.

The only reason she's into metal is because she's openminded and loves me a lot and I got her into metal. She wasn't into metal before I met her.

well off that subject, ive been listening to tons of death and grind lately. mainly aborted.

I've been listening to Olskool Black Metal, mostly Emperor, Darkthrone, Mayhem, and Dissection. Emperor (In The Nightside Eclipse, that is)=My nighttime bed music (around 3 or 4 in the morning, rofl). I now have ten Mayhem CD's, and I'm ready to get more. They're really my favorite band, along with Borknagar (they're tied). I have 7 Borknagar CD's (All their studio works, along with Live in Inferno). Yeah. I'm gonna get Dissection- The Past Is Alive soon.

another thing i found interesting is that my local fye added a metal section. its actually well stocked to. it was the first time i saw borknagar and nargaroth in a store.

Dammit. The closest thing I have is Rasputin, which has Marduk, a couple Mayhem CD's, and couple Burzum. It also has a shitload of death metal (pity I barely listen to death metal.) Eh, I guess it's chool.

I just use my Best Buy for metal CDs. They barely have any rap there, it's strange.

I almost always order online. It's the giant selection I love.

Enthroned, Deteriorot, Dawn of Dreams, Craft, Aborym, Ragnarok, Ulver, Midian/Kali Yuga- All way too underground to be available in storez.

The Ghoul, your love story is so sweet!!! *girly smile*
You got your gf into Black Metal... ^_^

Actually I was into it before any relationship with a metalhead. In fact its, funny, but that the way I got together with my current bf:

Me: "Hey you. Yeah you, random guy. Why are you wearing a Marduk tee shirt? Are you really into it, or do you want to be a trendy poser...?"
Him *jaw drops* :"I am into it. Really into it and I like your attitude. Lets go buy you a beer"

As I always say, METAL UNITES.

And about my shopping, here in luxembourg there is a very small, dirty shop, undeground both culturally and literally (you mus go down some dirty dirty stairs) which has ALL THE BM you can ever imagine. And if its missing something, you can order it. Plus they know me so well that they always make special prices for me. :P

Wow, I think we only have about two of those stores in Philadelphia; the underground kind. And they are on the nasty parts of Philadelphia, where gang fights/shootings are pretty regular, so I tend not to go there.

Response to Metal Hell 2005-11-24 14:53:13

we got two stores with Metal CDs in my town, but they rarely have any BM, some Death and mostly Heavy and Power. Not that good.

I prefer my progressive and power, but I love doom bands, such as Memento Mori, Candlemass and Saint Vitus.

My favourites would be:
Kamelot
DragonForce
Sacred Steel
Rolen
Manowar
At The Gates
Candlemass
Madsword
Angra
Psychotic Waltz
Saint Vitus
Memento Mori

We have a Rasputin in Oakland, and a Rasputin in Vallejo. Both are in acceptable neighborhoods. And we have an Amoeba recs. in SF in the Haight Ashbury district. It's in an average neighborhood. It sells used CD's.

And to Setsuna, I've been seeing that too.

And to the new guy, nice fucking list dude. ManOwaR rocks my sawkks.

Sorry, I was talking to Bruce, not u. My memory fails me sometimes. And yes, that's not a very good demo. I've heard it. It's pretty average.

God, I've been out of this thread for too long...I hate when fuckin school keeps me so busy I can't even get on the comp...I waded through like 5 pages, lol..

I own probably less then ten legitimate metal cds, but I have over 300 cds on my mp3 player, over 3000 songs, about a couple hundred are metal. Most of my metal cds are ripped from the original, that I borrowed, or ripped from my friend's pirated copy...Not that I havent sailed the data seas myself...

Heh, a lot of arguements over genre...I dont blame you elitists, I dont like the mallgoths I know of either, and I feel metal is one of the last pure genres, however, I myself am not an elitist because I dont feel like I listen to enough metal to be one, and also that I listen to a wide variety of genres (just not rap, hip-hop, or country)...But I can totally understand being protective...

And I dont have any real metal news either...Just good to be back in Hell

Eh. The only reason I'm an elitist isn't because I think metal is ABSOLUTELY better than other genres (I think it's all a matter of opinion), it's because I want people to have a claer idea about what metal really is, so that if metal gets a bad name, it deserves it, and there aren't any posers dragging it down.

And I might be getting a new aborym CD soon, I unno... If I did, it would be With No Human Intervention. I love electro-black, it's like a rave gone horribly wrong.

Also, I might get ManOwaR's Hell on Stage soon... Just because of Crown and the RIng (live) is so fucking ridiculous.

Meanwhile, I'm busy paying those damn bills.

True enough...It can be very easy to be misinterpreted...And I underestimated my metal song count too...Dont have exact numbers, but it was more than I expected (sometimes you don't notice unless you really look)...

And even though the arguement is stale (and I dont want to revive it either), I do thank GChrist for being the nice guy that he is. I looked back at my first list, right when I joined, and it was lacking...If he didnt let me in, I would have never learned about better metal in the first place. I'm thankful, at least.

I would have let you in anyways, it's the obnoxious know-it-all-when-you-obviously-don't attitude that pissed me off in that guy. At least you acknowledged that we knew more about metal than you did, and let us give you suggestions. The other dude was lecturing us on what metal was. You're cool and openminded.

Also, even though this is largely irrelevant, I got the couver art for Kali Yuga's self titled release shot. It's been rainy and foggy in the Sierras where I'm staying, and it should make a good couver.
