I like some of the bands on the last.fm top ten. Specifically, the National, Arcade Fire, and Vampire Weekend's first album (since I never really cared enough to get their new one). And I heard a Mumford & Sons song once and I thought it was decent, but I don't count that. The rest of the list alternates between passable, trash, and good. The Black Keys, the National, Arcade Fire, Yeasayer and Massive Attack are the only artists on there that I listen to with any sort of regularity, though.
I can honestly say I don't listen to, haven't heard of, or dislike all of the bands on that chart. Not one good artist in my opinion. I mean, that gay 30!H3 band or whatever is on there? Rihanna? The stuff is either way too popular shit that's horrible or pretentious hipster crap.

I think it's because almost every song on the EP stuck out straight away for me, while the full album is taking a few listens to get into properly. Both are great though.

I flipped a coin to see who I'd go with and the winner was My Dying Bride. I'm still going to get that one Warning album at some point.
