Hey brothers!
I love you all.
I'm high as shit right now.
And us such, I'm going to write my post in beautiful Bill format.
I'm listening to the new Solefald right now.
It's fucking brilliant, I'd say this completely tops Agalloch's 'Marrow of Spirit'.
I'm enjoying it a lot more than said Agalloch album.
When you all get it (Which you must do if you're a fan) listen to the title track.
Has this riff played really softly, with female vocals.
Then they play the same riff and it's fucking unbelievable heavy.
Most beautiful contrast.
There's also two very twisted/funny songs on here, though the other tracks are more serious.
It reminds me of Neonism in ways, one of my favourites from them.
This album is a 10/10
I also just picked up some Fantomas albums.
I know some of their songs from an excellent live DVD I've only mentioned once here I think.
It's called the Melvins/Fantomas Big Band, Live in London (2005), or something similar.
Very awesome DVD that only cost me ten bucks.
Fantomas albums are insanely weird but awesome. I'm sure you guys know, but King Buzzo is their guitarist and he is very excellent here.
They have an album called Director's Cut and it's all adaptions of movie themes.
Very heavy and cool avant-garde stuff.
I recommend these albums to you, Metal Hell.
I love the Hell with all my heart and I'd like to thank you all for this year of metal news,
recommendations, funny stories, funny arguments, funny fails and the best metal in the world blasting in our ears. Thank you all so much, because I enjoy every day of it.
Looking forward to another year with you bastards,
Ponos
P.S. Ghoul, come back and post about your favourite albums and tell noobs to GTFO with pictures of Kind Diamond. Thanks.
Stay Heavy
Peace
