Dude, just because someone doesn't disagree with you 100% of the time doesn't mean that they're your friend. And just because someone disagrees with you most of the time doesn't mean they hate your guts.

Their are times where everyone brings up a good argument, so yes - it is possible to agree with you. But considering just HOW FUCKING OFTEN you get in them, the amount of times I want to agree with you is quite minimal in the ratio.

let's talk about drugs and metal. what's the most metal drug? alcohol, obviously. weed would probably come second, for stoner metal. MDMA and ecstasy are not very metal drugs at all. meth? people who are on meth can be pretty metal but overall i think it's too dumb of a drug to be metal. amphetamines are pretty metal. hallucinogens aren't very metal but they've got their place in metal, i think.

I think extasy is also pretty metal. It goes well with Atmospheric stuff. Maybe I think I've said countless times, but I'm pretty sure that popping some of these and listenning to Agalloch was one of the most fantastic experiences in my life.

But I still associate beer with all forms of Death Metal, Thrash Metal and Power Metal. I dunno about vodka, tequila, rhum and whyskey. I do drink these, but I can't seem to find Metal genres to fit with these. I think Vodka is pretty good for Power Metal, like 6Imm6ortal6 said... but what could ever fit with Black Metal? And what about Rhum and folk? I think it's pretty much fitting, isn't it ???

I dunno about this dude... When people talk about the same bands often, it's usually because they like it a lot. While I may not check out a band that is mentionned only once, I will most likely spare more time listenning to bands which get discussed more, cause that means these are recognized by other metalheads, as very good bands. This is how I got into Sunn O))). Drone has been unappealing to me until recently. And even if you guys said they were very good, it always sounded like random noise to me. But every now and then, someone would mention Sunn O))). So everytime someone did, I went back to the Black One and I tried to understand why it was so popular. You see, having some bands discussed more often then others is not bad.

Ponos also just mentionned Agalloch and Solefald releasing new albums. Even if these bands are not "new bands" to the Metal Hell, discussing new albums is pretty cool, IMO.

Sorry for Double-post, but I only thought about this now. Idio, I've posted a link to some music by a band named Jacobs Dream recently. I think you should check them out if you don't know them already.

I still see that happen fairly often, with recommending bands. Hell, I just did it a couple of times in the past few pages. So do a couple of other people. But we still do talk about metal, I don't really see where you are coming from. I remember I used to think that's all we could talk about was metal, but then everyone else basically told me otherwise. I'm just not sure where you are coming from.

I don't actually have Phenomenon, but I have heard Doctor Doctor, and that is a great song. I may have to buy that one. Most of my UFO stuff came from my dad who was a big UFO fan when he was younger.
