I suppose in a way its just like Classical music, I don't really enjoy listening to it on my PC but I can totally see myself being completely engrossed if I ever saw a performance live.

Are you familiar with Glenn Branca? He was really into the guitar orchestra thing, composing for ensembles of 100 electric guitars. He also did a lot of prepared guitar/tabletop guitar stuff and he was a huge influence on Sonic Youth.

Sadly, no.
That would of been exactly up our street. Was only a short course and a group of mixed ability, and I don't know how difficult his stuff would be for people to pick up, but I imagine those two reasons are why we were never introduced to him.

Just got back from the show and my thoughts, they were alright and performed a good show for the genuine fans of the band but I wasn't too keen on the music. There were some decent tunes but if I'm to pick up any of their albums, I'll just stick to a compilation album and leave it at that.

Out of the first four, I'd put it in thrid place just above Kill 'Em All. ...And Justice For All has Blackened, One, Dyers Eve, To Live is to Die and the title track that are damn good.

Just saw a great show of a Folk Rock band right from Quebec. These guys are amazing. Even if you don't speak a word of french, you have to appreciate the awesome musicianship of these guys !!

Les cowboys fringants - Joyeux calvaire

The background picture with the video is not the right album picture though...

For a start, you don't be mean to Dent because he's a good lad and I love him. And he's right.

I'm too focused on listening to Dååth right now.

Second, I think they fucking suck.

It is one of their best achievements, second only to the beauty found within the writing and production values of Puppets. Justice just has a shitty bass player, and stale production.

Just got back from drama camp. Oh yes, drama camp. I saw a rather lackluster play and the director bitched at me and my friends because we were laughing and trying to get in the last clap. I had cigarettes with my drama teacher (didn't see it coming) and called another teacher a cunt which made the poor fag upset.

I think it's their best album by far. The Frayed Ends Of Sanity is their best song, in my opinion.

Also, One.

Pfff, Master of Puppets is their best album. Welcome Home(Sanitarium) is one of their best songs.

And, I guess we're not talking about Metalcore anymore, huh? I guess I'm a bit late on this, but...

I wasn't being mean to D3n. I was just posting a long response for no particular reason.
Why don't you like Dååth? I could understand you not liking their most recent album, cause it's kinda shiesty, but The Hinderers and Futility are pretty sick.

As soon as I heard Master of Puppets for the first time, I knew it was something special. Even now I still love the album from start to finish. Ride the Lightning is a close second for me.

Feel free to hate. :P

Response to Metal Hell 2010-08-22 16:46:42

I don't like Justice cause I'm petty and it doesn't have Cliff.
One is a tune mind, as is another from that album (the first one?), but meh.

That'll be Blackened. I've always liked the riff in that song. Listening to that and One easily got me to pick up Justice at the music shops along with Master of Puppets. Hah, that was when I only had a mere 20 CDs.
