I find Trivium's first couple albums difficult for me to really get into, but Shogun on the other hand, had some decent stuff. I enjoy a couple songs off that album every once in a while.

The only Trivium album I really don't like is The Crusade. I think their earlier stuff is as good as Metalcore can get (which is to say, "alright") and Shogun was pretty decent.

I like Killswithc Engage, BFMV, Shadows Fall, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, August Burns Red, The Agonist... but that doesn't make me less trve, because beside that I love Insomnium, Opeth, Totalselfhatred, Dream Theater, Mastodon, Gorgoroth, Dissection, Abysmal Dawn, Ahab, Black Sun Aeon... Well, I know, it's stupid hear them listening to core and start calling it Metal, but well, it's Metal core... And there are some bands that sound Metal like BFMV, Trivium and Shadows Fall.

I suggest we stop talking about Trivium and start talking about Spastic Ink. Cause they are the best prog metal band ever :)

What's with the whole being close-minded and not respecting peoples opinions and tastes? I love Metallica just as much as I like Funeral Mist, or Eminem's new song/s. I also like a whole load of other bands, some mainstream, some not. If that makes me a 'poser' then so be it. I don't have to listen to your 70s/80s death metal because YOU don't like the stuff that's out there today, and I don't have to start 'acting' a certain way, which in turn if we did, would make us posers anyway. just to enjoy my music and express my opinion without being laughed at.
