I can't be the only person here who smiles everytime someome mentions a band like Iwrestledabearonce, ADTR, Carnifex, Disturbed or Winds of Plague in a derogatory sense, right?
I love all types of music except R'N'B, because that's just shit.
It just makes me wonder how a lot of you guys jizz over certain bands (tech death, melodic death etc.) yet shit on other bands with such extreme hate.
Is it really so hard to like something other than brutal death metal or whatever?
I like a thousand of different musical genres. But ADTR is horrible. All they do is chug, breakdowns, clean vocals to sound catchy, clean melodic riffs over breakdowns, stupid lyrics and no kind of originality or creativity.
I like everything and anything that is good, Jazz, Metal, Classical, whatever. There is ever a few good core bands. But ADTR is pathetic.

That's called being a closed-minded elitist prick.
There is elitism and there is another thing called... "having taste".
Chugcore, thugcore, breecore, crunckcore and all the ridiculous other "core" genres, are mostly all pathetic and boring uncreative genres...

Hey, man. Do you honestly expect me to take you seriously when you go on about how openminded you are for listening to all that stuff + bargain bin -core stuff?
I am open-minded about music in general, I wasn't talking about core music specifically, they were just bands that I named off the top of my head.
I'm just saying that only listening to specific types of music because of how other people view them is lame, people can listen to whatever they want. For example I hate R'n'B because it requires no talent whatsoever, but several of my friends listen to it, so does my sister, I don't start heated discussions about how metal is far superior because she doesn't like it, therefore her interest in it as a genre is zero.
See what I'm getting at? I'm not trying to come off as an arrogant know-it-all, even if it may seem that way.
A lot of metalheads, like myself, belive that core is an insult to metal (not all core, but a lot of core). Core is basically a genre that takes from others, make it more simple, more commercial, more radio friendly. The problem with that, is that in general, people see core as metal music. I know people who listen to BlessTheFall, As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red and all that core music and who still believe, even though I told them countless times how wrong they are, that they listen to metal music.
I was thinking about going to the Summer Slaughter Tour this year... and guess what... The Red Chord is on the set... I was thinking about going to the Heavy MTL in Montreal this year... guess what... Winds Of Plague was on the show...
Hey, wanna go to the Vans Warped Tour to see some Punk music? Hey, guess what... Suicide Silence is on the show...
Just tell me why core as to invade every single scene in the world?
Still, I can understand why Dal is getting on your nerves...
