What the FUCK are you talking about?
Yo bro, I found this band called Ulver when I was looking for a Bright Eyes album and they're KILLER!
Yeah, well I liked them before they were big.
totes, man.

I always listen to Watching From A Distance when I'm going through shit and I'm really sad. It fucking makes me sad.
Anyway, I'm torn apart. My girl wants to work things out but my dad and all my friends hate her because she fucked someone else and she's been taking heroin the past week.
Also, that album is pretty shit for me after the first two songs. Kinda loses it's edge after that. Gets samey. But the title song is bloody tits.
Also, Footprints. How epic is, "I am, not fee-ee-ee-ling, the great burnin' flaaaame!"
So epic.
I hate synths. Mostly.
The Immortal albums arrived through the post today. I'm liking what I'm hearing from these two albums. I'll see how I am after a few more listens and if I really love them, I know I'll need to get more of their albums whenever I can.

Dammit dammit dammit dammit, I still need to pick up Watching From A Distance!

I'd say the first three cause I really like Bridges too. I like Echoes and Faces, but its true that WfaD and Footprints are the best songs.

I leave beeeee-hind me the rruuuuu-iiinnns of the fortress I swore to deeeeee-feeennnnd!
I'll leave you a maaaaan, I'll need you to mend!

Origin... Found them on Pandora on my Aborted channel, I think. I swear I can't fall asleep at night these days until I listen to Finite off Antithesis.
So, like, lol. Abigail Williams... Their vocalist is not going to be able to speak in like, four years.

So, wait, is Michael Kiske's name pronounced "Kis-ka" or "Keisk"?

I thought it was just pronounced "kisk", like "kiss" with a "k" at the end.

Same here.
It's "Kiss-keh" or "Kiss-ka." In German, the "e" at the end of a word is always pronounced.
Also, Ponos, really sorry to hear all that. I definitely recommend not getting with her again. Your dad and your friends are right, and while you may be blinded by feelings right now and as such are able to see past her faults, it's really not worth it from what you've described. Best of luck.

Origin - Awaken The Suffering
Every single of their albums has a unique sound while staying in the specific type of sound you will only find on an Origin album :)
On the album Antithesis the best three tracks are Finite, Antithesis and The Aftermath. If you ever get a chance to listen to some stuff from Echoes Of Decimation, I would suggest you listen to Reciprocal, Endless Cure and The Burner. These three tracks are very short, but will kick your ass like no other band could.

I was them live, can't believe this guy can scream like this every night he's on stage when they are touring. They will also release their next album on my birthday, September 28.

Wow, if that's the case, I'll have to see them live the next (and possibly last) time they come to the UK.

Well, they've put out more than enough albums, and I don't see them being able to come up with much more together.

FUCK THE CRITICS!!!
Like what you like and let the Judges be damned.
I like The Sword, they are good at what they do.
I agree. The Sword are great, and I have a lot of good memories where their music is the soundtrack. My friends and I would drive off campus for lunch during school blasting their music.
I can't really get into The Sword, they're kinda boring.
Maybe i'd appreciate them more if I saw them live or smoked weed.

I demand link from said reliable source.
I can't find jack shit on it from google.

Hopefully he's full of shit, Rush is playing in Boston(two hours from me) on september 14th....
Standing area tickets are 165 american dollars....
Chances are, i'm not going to go.
At 7/29/10 06:01 PM, batman64 wrote: 165 bucks, fuck that.
THe highest priced ticket for the St. Paul show is 70 bucks American and I say that's a lot, the cheap seats are 40. Luckily I can get a discount through my neighbor so the price should be closer to 35 bucks.
Which brings up a good question: What is the most you would pay for a concert ticket, and why?
Depends, NOT COUNTING FESTIVALS these are the most expensive shows i've gone to and why:
Back in june I saw Scorpions for 95 bucks. Why? Because it's their last ever world tour and I wanted a fucking barrier spot for them instead of a nose bleed spot, and that's just what I got!
In august i'll be seeing Slayer, Megadeth and Testament for 64 bucks. Why? BEcause I ordered my ticket back when the tour was supposed to be in february. If I had ANY idea then that there's the possibility of the big four touring together in the US in a year or two I never would've done it.
Last month I saw Dream Theater and Charred Walls Of The Damned on one of DT's off nights from the tour with Iron Maiden - it was 40 bucks. Why? It's my first dream theater show, it's actually at a general standing show and compared to the 105 bucks of the NYC show of them with iron maiden it's a bargain IMO.
Helloween + Gamma Ray in 2008 for 35 bucks....BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING HELLOWEEN AND GAMMA RAY.
Nightwish + Sonata Arctica in 2008 for 35 bucks...I was waaaaaaaay more into Sonata Arctica then, also I wasn't aware that Nightwish had a new singer and one that blows.
I'm sure there have been more shows i've gone to that were quite pricey, I just can't remember them.
At 7/29/10 02:03 PM, D3NTATUS wrote: Hey guys, who remembers Doomsword and how good they are? I totally do.
march!
maaaAAAAArch!
I think I've paid like £35 to see Imogen Heap in November. Festivals aside thats probably the most I've ever spent on a gig. The Darkness, ProgNation and Dream Theater might of been around there but I think they were slightly cheaper, plus travelling from the North to London for the Imogen gig will be way more expensive in terms of travel. Bill Bailey was pretty expensive too, but I'm not sure if he broke into the £30s.
And why, cause its Imogen Heap and she's doing two sets. One a normal set, the other with an orchestra for which she is writing a specific piece of music. Swwwwweeeeeeeet :D.

The name rings a bell. I remember listening to them way back. Specifically this song.
Then I think once I accidentally cleared my history I pretty much forgot about them. Shame on me :(
Might have to do the unethical act of, dare I say it? No. Because then I'll get banned. But yeah, you know.

The most I've paid for a concert is $48 for Judas Priest. If you have to ask why, fuck you.

Most I've paid was for a Jazz concert, but for a Metal show, it was something like 25 or 27 bucks.
I've paid $160 to see Iron Maiden and Metallica tickets are costing me the same.
But that's in Australian Dollars, which is worth about as much as a peso.
