Well, if Bill and Idio are with me, suppose we make Nev horseman until Goatchrist says otherwise?

And Duff, Marko is Goatchrist.

Stop bickering. It's really dull, do it in pms or something instead.

And Marko = Goatchrist. And it is his club, he made it.

Stop with the drama guys.

I really have no will to fight with you. I may have posted some stupid shits, but I don't think I'm being a bitch to anyone. When I complain about something, I always have a good reason to do it.

And the fact that I take band suggestions and learn from the other regulars of the Hell just prooves that I'm not placing myself above them. If I do care about their opinions it's probably cause I respect them.

So, moving on... How many of you guys here are fans of Lääz Rockit? My friend recently made me listen to them, and I have to say, solid band. Makes me feel bad for putting them off for all these months.

1- We never said Paul Grey was a good bassist
2- The guy saying Slipknot was Metal is not a member of the Hell, so "we" did not waste 4 pages as he was the one trying to convince us that they are metal
3- lol
4- We've always been dicks to each others... Can't say why... but that's how the Hell works.
5- Can we get back to metal?

Listenning to Affiliated With the Suffering by Blood Red Throne... and I'm always wondering why... these awesome musicians... some of the most talented songwritters and musicians of the Death Metal scene... always put silly shits in their music... like blood splatter sounds and people screaming while they are getting tortured...

And that shit picture they dared to use as a promo for Altered Genesis...

Man... why would you want to link your music to silly and stupid stereotypes like this???
Maybe it's just a cheap photoshop shit and as nothing to do with the band... But it's in their last.fm pictures and I've read comments that some people left for that picture and one of the guys said it was a promo pic for Altered Genesis..
I think this picture is just... wow...

Since they are still one of my favorite bands, I would like to post another picture, just so we have a kind of balance between ugly pictures and awesome pics.

Speaking of Ozzy, I'm still not impressed with what I've heard from his new album so far. Not that I had high expectations in the first place but I at least hoped for something decent. Maybe another song or two could convince me otherwise but I doubt it. Looks like the only new album I'll be looking forward to in June is Equilibrium's.

I finally listened to Blotted Science, and it's almost sexual, it's so progressive, sweet and powerful. It seems to have a little bit of Death Metal influence on it, but not totally, the bass is sexually used, and why talk about the guitars? Melodious solos... It sounds like that guy on youtube, Keith Merrow, or maybe he sounds like them, but he sounds totally Progressive Death Metal. So, Blotted Science, sounds like an explosion of excelent music, I really liked it.
I would give them a strong 9/10

Also, after searching about Blotted Science on Metal Archives, I found Spastic Ink, after listening to it, I prefer Blotted Science, maybe because Spastic Ink is too much technical, I don't dislike technical metal, but I don't find it catchy for some reason, and sometimes I feel that the rhythm guitar is very poor, and the sound is very thin, not in all of their musics, but some of them are just ruined because of a powerful rhythm guitar missing. The bass is great, it totally fits in the music with the guitar, actually the bass is what I prefer in their music, you can actually listen to it, and it sounds awesome.
I would give them a strong 6/10. They're great musicians but I feel something missing.

This is basically why Blotted Science 808 plays in my library... even if they only have one album :P
They only have one album released so far... But what a fucking great album !!! I already mentionned Keith Merrow a few weeks ago, saying that he sounded somewhat like Blotted Science. I knew I was not wrong :P

It took me a while to really get into Spastic Ink. Their first album, Ink Complete is by far, their best album. I don't really like the vocals on their second album and even the music is not as good. But you should really give them another try. This album is fucking epic!!
It's also fuckin awesome when you realise that Ron Jarzombeck plays all of the dialogues of Thumper from the movie Bambi in the song A Wild Hare :)

Yeah, I didn't like the vocals either.

haha yeah. I prefer to watch a video of the scenes synched with that song.

I thought Nanonuclear Cyborg Summoning was freakin' awesome, but what I heard from Skullgrid wasn't as good.

The other bands I mentioned aren't amazing, but they're pretty good instrumental progressive metal.

I thought they really just didn't fit with the style of the band. Spastic Ink, Blotted Science... and basically all that Ron Jarzombeck writes is made to be instrumental music. He probably could write some good shit with lyrics, but so far, his best albums are all instrumental.

When I listen to the song now I remember all the words said by Thumper and I can easily sing along :P

I only heard Skullgrid... that may be why I didn't really got into their stuff. The reviewers from Metal Archives pretty much share this opinion with you.

I don't know the other bands you have listed. Can't say that I know a lot of instrumental progressive metal bands either... well... with the exception of the few we already mentionned.

I could still throw Liquid Tension Experiment in :)

Seriously, their first album is the fucking shit. I can't believe people who say it just sounds like noise to them. It's not hard to understand the music.

hell yeah, especially Acid Rain
