I liked Angel Rebellion and The Kingdom, I say the album's pretty good.

I think The Kingdom was a failed attempt at making an epic power metal track. It's very long, yet there is not much progression or interresting material for this 18 minutes of useless cheesyness :)

If you've already joined, then my bad. Either way, you're in now since you posted an acceptable list.

You just found out about one of the greatest bands in the world.
They just released 12 Gauge, and I have to say that this album is freakin amazing !!!
I'm still a big fan of their older stuff, Swampsong is my favorite Melodic Death Metal album.
God damn, this has to be one of the greatest instrumentals I've ever heard.
Anybody care to offer a second opinion?

Their sound is so old-school, it's fucking great. Reminds me of Black Sabbath somehow.
My cousin got backstage with Machine Head for their last Australian show...so fucking jellyous.

Listening to some of the new Borknagar tracks on youtube... I really think it's time for these guys to move on to something else. They've exhausted this formula and their best years are behind them.
?
I hate not sleeping.
Anyways, Nekrokaos and The Sarcophagus are pretty dece.
Hey guys, I was gone for five days on a band trip and didn't tell you. How's it going?

I've become more and more curious about them ever since I heard Slough Feg covering Street Jammer in Hardworlder. Got any album recommendations for them?

It's good but how does it go against The Day at Guyana?

What? Seriously? Manilla Road is the best! You can't go wrong with any of their albums.
My favorites would be Invasion, Metal, and Crystal Logic, though. So, imo, you're probably best off starting with those three.

I can one-up you.

Best was supposed to link to this, don't know what happened there.

Decent. Has a bit of Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath sounding, and the instruments remind me a little bit of Motörhead.
bump for graet justis
also, I've checked out Kalmah's new album, which was amazing.
Borknagar released a mildly good record again. I'm actually glad they went back to their pre-ICS Vortex roots.
Burzum's was good, as well as Ragnarok, Ondskapt and Avsky.
And I got the Ichi the Killer soundtrack by Boredoms...and it is the shit. Seriously some of the best experimental work I've ever heard.

Good to hear. Manilla Road is a great band, and I absolutely love them. Though, it pisses me off when the only album people listen to by them is Crystal Logic, and ignore their extensive discography (which contains many albums that are just as good, if not better than Crystal Logic.)

Man! This record is fucking gold !!!
The keys !!! The fucking solos are fucking epic and rad !!! The rythm guitars are raping asses !!!
And their vocalist finaly got the point that he had to make screams and growls and not only growls.
Everything is blending in perfectly on this record. It's one of their greatest !!!
Hook the Monster by Kalmah
You'll want to click on the full sized pdf version because the little preview is bland as fuuuuuuuck. If it works for you. I don't know if it will because I don't know how many of you subscribe to the site.
I think it's pretty funny that the Ulver moon is two or three times the size of it's planet.

The more I hear from them, the more I like them and that's a really good song.

I was thinking of getting the first one just for Street Jammer for the sake of familiarisation.

It's pretty good but The Day at Guyana is still at the top for me along with Stream of Consciousness.

I find most of these new features on Last.fm completely pointless. I understand they want to keep developing with the site but I feel it's come to the point where you don't need to do anything else to make the site better.

If they're doing a similar thing to last year, it's not going to work at all. They need to do more than that to make it interesting or even believable if possible. However, if I have to guess, then Bring Me the Horizon.

Probably Firebird, because having members from metal bands = automatically metal.
But who cares, MA is a joke.

I'd say it's a silver release, purely because it doesn't hold my interest all the way through

okay, it's nothing like the Swamplord or anything...
All of you, read from the last few pages back to here. It's fucking hilarious.

This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

Now that's a great new metal genre idea. I'm sure Kevin Bacon would be proud.
Also, it seems MA didn't do any jokes this year or am I not looking hard enough?
