Haha, the longest streak for me was 3 days straight. It's a huge time waster but it's my favorite band though. At least some people like the new album.

I listened to Watching from a Distance every day for a couple of weeks.
Probably GN'R's Greatest Hits for a similar time too.

What that man did, and the fact it was deemed news worthy is incredibly boring, however.

what's even worse is that Nostradamus isn't even that great of an album.

I agree even though I am a fan. It's a bit slow and has only a couple of good songs, I'd just listen to Painkiller or Sad Wings of Destiny anytime.

Went to FYE with a friend on Saturday, picked up Still Life and The Sound of Perseverance, both have two discs and lots of artwork so it's cool. Foobar is deciding not to agree with me today so I haven't ripped them to my computer yet, but although the quality visually and musically is lacking in the live Death video, it's pretty good.

And Funki Porcini's album I was talkin about is named Fast Asleep and all the sounds and noises are here to remind you of a sleepy and smooth ambience.

It's true. When I hear a sound downstairs or something I don't think 'Ooh that sounds like it could be lots of money and chocolate and pretty wimmins masturbating'. I think 'Shit, that could be someone with a knife'.
I don't fear the unknown, I fear that the unknown may result in me dying.

I really doubt you set up your mind like this. You don't actually think that much when you are scared. Words do not come up in your mind like this "Omg I could die!"

Or imagine this. You enter a room in your house that you just left minutes ago. When you come back you expect your girlfriend to be right there waiting for you. But what if she isn't? Then you'll start trying to find you and eventualy you would tell yourself that she's probably playing a trick on you. While looking for her, you would still feel a little uncomfortable, cause you know she's hidding somewhere, ready to scare the shit out of you. You are not scared of death, you are scared of the Unknown.
Ok, maybe your girlfriend isn't that scary, but modify my exemple to fit your own experience. You know what I mean :P

Yes, but that's irrelevant, because pain and death aren't mutually exclusive.

Not completely exclusive, but you have to admit that you felt pain more often than you died... lulz...
You do not feel pain only when you are in a life-threatening situation.
Finaly, you could easily find writtings about horrible life experiences that some people have been through and in which, death actually was or would have a been a relied compared to the horrible things they went through. In a book I just read about Rwanda, there was this specifid scene during which a woman saw her husband getting killed right in front of her. She asked the militias to kill her right away, because she didn't want to go through all the other shits she knew she would have to go through.

The Black Dahlia Murder (I know, I'm late on this one)

You are late and going to be hated for this. As far as I'm concerned, I'd say they really aren't that great. They sound a little too generic for my tastes, but really aren't as bad as the other guys says.

Btw guys, I'm going to go to University next semester and I was planning to join the Uni's radio and make a brand new metal show :)

But to make that kind of show I'd need to know a little more about three specific genres
Stoner and Doom.... and em... that Drone thing? what is it exactly? Thanks guys :)

I am developing a new love with Behind the Dawn, which I think is very similar to Black Sun Aeon but with some own characteristics, I am also starting to like Protest The Hero, the guy voice sound very emo, but it's like Heavy Metal clean voice mixed with screaming, but it has Progressive Metal behind with some core influences then give this "emo effect". And (I know I am going to read some "BOOs") I am also starting to like 3 Mile Scream, they're very similar with a local band, well... I prefer the local band which is called Artcore, but 3 Mile Scream are also cool in my opinion, they're called Deathcore, but in my opinion they're not so core...

Close your eyes and pretend :P.
All you're really doing is watching and enjoying the music.
You don't need to beat the shit out of people to enjoy Exodus. You don't need to fuck corpses for whatever to enjoy Cannibal Corpse.

They're just sounds in your ear, and you get to enjoy them with other people in front of a band you like, who are there playing for you and everyone in the room.

And Funki Porcini's album I was talkin about is named Fast Asleep and all the sounds and noises are here to remind you of a sleepy and smooth ambience.

It'd be a laid back gig is all.
And if you're sleep already you might end up wasting your money :P.

I really doubt you set up your mind like this. You don't actually think that much when you are scared. Words do not come up in your mind like this "Omg I could die!"

I don't think those words, because you don't think in sentences like that.
But I'm not worried about being burgled or anything. I'm worried I might be attacked and that attack might lead to me dying.
I'm not saying I don't fear anything else. But if I'm alive then things can be fixed and replaced, etc.

Ok, maybe your girlfriend isn't that scary, but modify my exemple to fit your own experience. You know what I mean :P

If I came home and had a girlfriend I'll admit I wouldn't be scared of death. I'd be worried about who the fuck she is :P.

In other words, I have no girlfriend :(.

Doom:

Daylight Dies

Did I mention Warning?

Drone:
Sunn O)))

And I'll give you Sludge too cause I prefer it to other Doom genres :)

Out of them all, this is easily the band I've been listening to the most for the past week. I'll be honest, my favorite genre is melodic death metal. Just has the emotion, along with the brutality and awesomeness. Still like Insomnium and Kataklysm the best though, but I pretty much been only liking Dark Tranquillity's song "Focus Shift".

I know. I didn't consider them THAT great, just a new band for me. I like to listen to different stuff, and to be honest I never really liked them that much until I heard the song "Funeral Thirst". Meh, whatever. Not really that big of a deal to me.

Oh, and Luigi is releasing a new album called "Yoshi Wooms" and WILL in fact have the bagel song on it. Thank god, I got so worried they wouldn't.
