I'm just so tired of music like that in general that I hate it all. Korpiklaani, Finntroll, Trollfest, Ensiferum, Alestorm. I'm just getting tired of "theme" music I guess, if that's what you could call it. Pirate metal, Viking Metal all that stuff. It was all fine and dandy when I was from 10 to 14 but I've just grown out of that stuff.

There's a good reason why I avoid the Pirate and Viking metal terms and simply go by what they're truly are, so folk metal for the aforementioned bands.
Otyg's demos and Storm's Nordavind are the only tr00 folk I get into. But folk is an important integration in metal, it's influence and cultural signifigance in black metal is brilliant and folk themes in black metal make for fucking kick arse music. I just noticed the other day that Bergtatt contains no choruses at all. Track three is like, two riffs, a piano section and a little girl running through a forest away from a troll, and then one more riff. And it's so beatiful too.
