Anyone here listen to Mastodon? I particularly like Blood Mountain by them.

There pretty mih in my book, I don't mind them.
But I can't stand serious Mastodon fanboys because they tend to be douches.

I listen to Mastodon quite a bit actually. Their best album is either Leviathan or Crack the Skye (yes I though CtS was genius.)
The Last Baron is easily their best song.
Here I am, bored with everything.

I'm not a fanboy, I only have that one album, but I like it a lot.

I suspected that was the only one you had when you said it was your favourite. Get any of the others, they're much better, so if you like Blood Mountain you'll love them. Except for Call of the Mastodon, that's pretty meh.
Be back on the 13th or 14th, see you guys.
Computer at the camp is really fucking up big time so the camp Director is revoking my computer privalages.

Good to hear, I guess.
That's actually the smallest shirt I have (size M), but it looks good on me, so I wear it often.
Other than seeing Marduk in 10 days, nothing is really all that new.

Ah well, their music can't please everyone, but I still have a lot of fun listening to their music from time to time. That reminds me, I could still do with getting Legendary Tales or Dawn of Victory.

But they're not awesome. They're both pants. Except Wintersun, where words cannot describe how overrated they are.

I just listened to all of those songs in that exact order yesterday. I'm not even shitting you. But yes, they kick ass. The technicality and ferocity of the band pulls you in.

That's an insane coincidence.
How about Fantomas, anyone here listen to them? They're like an experimental metal band with Dave Lombardo, Mike Patton, the guitarist from Melvins, and another guy.

I thought it was just those three?
Anyway, I love them. Great band and Suspended Animation is a great album, I used track six in a advert I had to make for my Uni. Great riff.

I hate you Nev. Don't ever say Wintersun are not nice again. I love them and can't see why you diss them so much. You may not like them, but they really did revolutionize the Melodic Death Metal scene.

Cause everyone seems to think they're the most unique and amazing band music has ever been graced with.
And in fact they're a bland generic Melodeath band.
You may not like them, but they really did revolutionize the Melodic Death Metal scene.
They did?

That's one of my favourites by them too
And there's a fourth guy who plays bass, but I can't remember his name

Well, I've been a lot into melodeath before going deeper into other metal genres. And they really are a band with a very unique sound.

Fantomas is a great band and Mike Patton is a genius, but I adore the Melvins even more. Only a few of us listen to the Melvins though.

yep. got 3 or 4 albums.
Melvins are underrated as fuck. I'm pretty happy I discovered them. I think that was Idiot's doing. And I've heard of Fantomas, just havn't got around to listening to them. I'll go get an album of theirs right now actually.
And the only Rhapsody I've heard was that video Ani linked. That was shit.
And yes, Wintersun are shit too.
Kyuss - Phototropic
I like ... And the Circus Leaves Town, it's a great album. I'm currently getting my band to cover One Inch Man.
Yes, I can sing and play that at the same time. I'm a talented little fuck.
I also want to cover The Devil and Me by Clutch, but it's difficult to sing and play. And I don't think my bass player would be able to play it. But it's a brilliant song, and I really want us to play it.
Under a light, that I have never seen......
So my parents are worried about me going to see Megadave and Slayer alone, i know ill be fine, and probably only get knocked around a bit as long as i stay out of the circle pits and what have you.

They should calm down and let you go a bit. Nothing is wrong with letting their son have fun at a concert. You'll be just like an adult and such. You'll be fine. But I'm jealous so I might kill you.

That's a shame, I actually find Wintersun's debut album and Ensiferum's Iron some of the greatest heavy metal albums ever recorded along with Rust in Peace, Painkiller and all the other classics. Because of how much I love Wintersun's debut album, Time is the album I'm anticipating the most even if it's taking so damn long to come out now. Ah well, at least Ensiferum's new album is to be released next month.
Think i joined this place agggges back, but even if I haven't you guys will appreciate this anyway.
I just bought a load of frozen food from Napalm Death's old Drum tech.
He has their numbers, is still friends with the band, on his phone and said if I email him he might be able to set me up with some tickets to gigs and the like and possibly meet the band.
