Each and everytime I listen to Primus I realise how much of a fucking awesome band they are. I'm wondering if anyone in here would accept them as a real metal band. I know they funk music but they still use a couple metal song structures and riffing.

Maybe some songs sound metal, and they definitely have a metal like aggression to their unique blend of monster bass, screaming guitars, and insanely funkadelic drums. What's more metal than Les Claypool?

The only metal I can talk about right now is Running Wild. I got their debut album Gates to Purgatory the other day. Pretty good, although I can't seem to enjoy their pre-Pirate metal days as much as Under Jolly Roger or Pile of Skulls. The latter I think is one of the greatest metal albums of all time.

Since it's almost the 30th anniversary of the British Steel album, they played the whole album in its entirety. Plus, other classics like the guitar version of Diamonds and Rust instead of the acoustic version, and Victim of Changes, and even Freewheel Burning. Since he quit smoking for almost a year, it sounds like he is getting his voice back little by little.

Yeah, Hazardous Mutation had some sweet artwork too, but The Art of Partying out does it easily. Also, even though the artwork does look a fair bit bleagh, poor depressed me went and pre-ordered it anyway.
