Holy shit, fuck yes.
I gave Sonata's 'Silence' a listen and I found it incredibly dull. I like the song Sing in Silence from that album as its one of few I'd heard previous to listening to this full album.
But as a whole the album just seemed to go on and on. Not bad, just bland as hell.
Manowar - Gods of War (Gods of War)

I think it's fairly obvious that he;s not serious.

At first I thought the exact same thing. I was like "Wtf. Where's the double-bass balls to the wall fast songs?" You wont find that on this album. Except for wolf and raven. I would recccomend a re-listen. The End of This Chapter and Respect the Wilderness are great songs on there. I would reccomend looking up the lyrics while you listen... a great part of sonatas sound is tony's lyrics. They really make a difference in the music.
I'll post moar about it later for those interested... in kind of a rush :P

It is also possible that he doesn't realize how god awful he is.
You Guys Need To Sit Back, Chill, and Listen to some Pagan Viking Death Metal. My favorite Metal Pagan Viking Death Metal band would have to be Eluveitie which is located in switzerland. they're probably one of my most favorite metal bands apart from Dethklok...

What's Your Problem With Dethklok?

Worst first impression in months for my part.

Only when you can answer that question will you understand

Eh, I've Sort Of Lost Interest In Them Anyways..... It's Been A Near 4 Months Since I've Listened To Them.

I believe you've previously stated that you didn't like Sonata Arctica. It seems a fair amount can't get into their music but that's fine. I have fun listening to their music and that's all that matters to me.

Oddly enough, I've only seen a few episodes of Metalocalypse and the first season on DVD is on my wishlist for my birthday, which as a matter of fact is tomorrow. The DVD only came out last month in region 2. D:

The show is excellent.
The music is mediocre at best. People think listening to Dethklok allows them to say that they listen to death metal, which is false. You need to listen to death metal to say you like death metal. Dethklok are about as watered-down as death metal can get, even more watered-down than melodeath, to the point where it's hard to even classify it as a legitimate genre.
That being said, it's good for laughs and I do like it. But it's like eating Velveeta when you could get eating some fancy-ass Brie or Gouda instead.
I wear my dethklok shirt a lot
First season of Metalocalypse is quite funny, the new episodes aren´t as good.
Detroit metal city is much better, really.

Yeah, I agree, and people that claim they're into death metal because they listen to Dethklok are indeed annoying. Has anybody caught the funny puns in the show though? For example, in a dream, Nathan Explosion works at Dimmu Burger, and the high school he didn't graduate from was Carpathian Forest High School.

Yeah, all the references to metal bands are great. I make sure to point them out (and be an obnoxious, pretentious asshole about it) when I watch the show with people who don't get the allusions (because the only metal they listen to is from Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and Metalocalypse.)
I only like 3 songs off of Dethklok's first season: Dethjingle, Thunderhorse, and Mustakrakish.
The first and last one are so fucking ridiculous. I listen to them to giggle. They by NO means a show I would pay to go see, though. :/ No t-shirt, no nothing.

The Faceless is really great, and so is The Absence. In my opinion.

The Faceless's new album is incredible.
Anything with Meshuggah is incredible too. Especially obZen and Destroy Erase Improve.

Nah, I'd never have said that. Based on the three songs I've heard I like them. But after listening to that album I don't... so much.
I still love the songs I've heard (Sing in Silence, Victoria's Secret and White Pearls/Black Ocean (orwhatever it is)).
I went to the cd store earlier today... I was looking for some stuff by Brain drill... must sayd that I was kind of dissapointed when I saw that they were classified as "Extreme Death Core"... I've always said that this shitty store could use of someone who knows what he's talking about in terms of metal...

Be grateful. Most CD stores don't go above "Rock."
