Question for Dream Theater fans:

Is When Dream and Day Unite supposed to be boring as all hell?

Not at all.
The vocals are a bit iffy as Charlie wasn't as good as James is (though 'was' is more appropriate). But instrumentally its similar to Images and Words.

I'm listening to Billie Jean right now. It seems that all of MJ's music videos have been getting an insane amount of views since his death.

Youtube even put up a tribute channel on the frontpage just to get mass views. Those heartless bastards at Google only care about visitors and money.

In other news regarding things close to my heart dying:

I saw the abomination that is Transformers 2 (I should have learned after the first one, but no, my girlfriend had to see it).

What is seen cannot be unseen.

I think the bigger problem here is what is paid for cannot be unpaid for. Am I right?

That's sad... really...

He still was one of the greatest artists of all time, and I know there is still some people out there to respect that.

I care since I have the game myself, even though I haven't played a lot of it recently. I guess I could do with playing a few tracks on it today.

Death metal and black metal songs are the best if you're looking to get onto the scoreboards.

Or how about going after lesser known and/or long tracks? I'm often high up them because of the low amount of people playing them. Of course, that's cheap, but hey it's a way to get up high on one track.

Eh, I have his Thriller album in my iTunes so I'll listen to that for respect.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people will think their children are safe now that he's passed but I heard that the whole Neverland thing was a setup and that the parents of the children told them to lie so they'd get money. He's more famous for that now then his career in music.

side note: from what I've heard, Blut Aus Nord's new album kicks the shit out of their previous release. Odinist really turned me off and I sort of hate that album, but if this album is as good as everyone and John Darnielle (the genius behind the Mountain Goats) says, then I'll pick it up.

Everytime I go to a movie like this with a group of friends everyone thinks it's great and I look like I'm trying to be edgy or something by saying I didn't like it. The fights in it were pretty damn cool but the rest of it was like a straight to DVD American Pie movie. Incredibly unfunny and annoying.

That'd be no surprise considering his contribution to the music industry in the 80's. After all, that's why there's been so much Jackson-related programmes shown here since his death.

The minute you die your record sales sky rocket. Dead musicians make more than liveing. Rather fucked up if you ask me.
