I actually said that a few hours ago :P.

He provided the subject and I elaborated.
And don't think you're off the hook 'cause you made some levity. Calling Heaven "the stupidest regular" is one of the most idiotic things you've ever said. He's not stupid. In fact, he's one of the most intelligent members of the METAL hell because he is always talking about METAL. He only looks stupid because he's always getting forced or goated or led into inane arguments.

Relax, I was only jokin' round.
You guys are all too uptight.

What user here ever talks about nonmetal related things other than the occasional "Yeah my girlfriend dumped me" "My cat died" or whatever post.

He was making a point that he usually has to be the diplomat in this group.

I do have to agree with that though, we rarely get off topic (except for smeagol).
and sorry for the double post.

Smeagol is rarely off topic.
In terms of off topicness I'm a probably by the worst.

I think we're all pretty much off topic about half the time. Bill is probably the best at being on topic, even when he's stoned :P
Also, metal. Seeing Judas Priest in July.

I would see JP even if Rob was going to sodomize me. Especially if he was going to sodomize me.

That should be very cheap, definitely.

I would see JP if they were back in the 80's doing their shit from Turbo and before. I dont really think that Rob can sing as well anymore.
Especially if he was going to sodomize me.
That didnt sound gay at all :P

Really? It was intended to.

I don't care, I'm not paying :P. I never ask for anything from my parents, so they're usually somewhat willing to let me do this sort of shit when it comes up.

I know that, I was joking.

Well if I was getting for free? then I'd deffently go see Judas Priest.

It's Psycryptik now, pretty much the same thing (trippy keyboards, heavy guitars, sloooooowwwwwwwwwwwww) but with drums. I have a demo out under that name and it includes a cover of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.
And Animetal, Heavenduff may be aggravating, but both he and ponos have been here quite longer than you have, so your perspective is quite small. In other words, quit it with the flame wars. I've had it up to my ears with all these flame wars between self important teenagers who just need to smoke some blunts and chill the fuck out. Seriously. Either that, or shoot up fentanyl and watch your heartrate go down halfway.
Anyone here listen to Lykathea Aflame? They're absolutely amazing.
?
Animetal, I've also noticed around general that all you do is troll ZeroAsALimit for no reason other than you have some sort of one sided animosity built up against him. Why that is, I don't know, but there's no reason for it to carry over.
So there.
Anyway, I'm really excited about forming a death/thrash band around my area, the only problem is, I need a vocalist who can get the rasp close to that of Cynic's, Atheist's, and Death's, but I can't. Everyone can only seem to pig squeal or do those annoying hardcore vocals that I despise so much.
HALP.
Here I am, bored with everything.

I believe the reason was something about him only making 1 sentence posts with no value to get his post count up.
Which of course, is nonsense.
HALP.
I love that style of vocals (especially Chuck :D) and its pretty much how I always sing. Pity you're a Yank bastard :P.
Daylight Dies - Solitary Refinement
TNP, your post just reminded me of that PM.
Its good stuff. The vocals seem much more subdued than in Warning. Like this blokey is quite sorrowful but in a resigned kinda of way. Where as Pat sounds as though he's exploding in misery.
If you get me.

I do. I guess it's that they've both got awesome lyrics that hit home perfectly with the way they're sung even though their methods are different... I don't know. Something about both of them sound genuinely sad as opposed to some bands that sound like they're whining for the sake of it.
?
Thanks Denta.
And let's just quit arguing over this useless fight. Next time you think I'm wrong you can say it, but keep your insults for the General Forum.
You mentionned something about making on-topic posts. That just made me think about a question I wanted to ask some of our biggest Ulver's fans in here. I have listenned to their first three albums and they reconciled me with Black Metal. But that's not the point of my post. My question may be off-topic, but what is the sub-genre named Trip-hop, all about? Cause I've read some stuff about their avantgarde and electronic music and some people have classified them as trip-hop and I thought about asking this question in here first before looking around the internet (on wikipedia and google)
because I know we have huge fans of them in the Hell.

Probably not.

Apparently its Downtempo Electronic music.
I've only hard Shadows of the Sun and I suppose it applies. But I don't think of it like that. I think of it just as ambient.

Wikipedia : Trip hop is a music genre also known as the Bristol sound. The trip hop description was applied to the musical trend in the mid-1990s of downtempo electronic music that grew out of England's hip hop and house scenes.
They also mention that some other influences can be found in this genre of music depending on the band. So... Ulver could be playing trip-hop with black metal influences?
:P

Perdition City sounds nothing like Shadows of the Sun. Both are good, but I think Heavenduff is referring to Perdition City.
I just refer to Ulver as "awesome music".

I've been here from early 2007(Even if I only posted once every few days back then.)
You make it sound like I joined last month.
Also you are beating the dead horse, the argument happened almost yesterday.

What do you mean by I troll him? There is a difference between trolling and arguing.
And I argue with him because he is incredibly annoying, his posts are almost all useless and shittie and that he posts ALL the time in almost every thread, even the ones he has nothing to contribute to.
Why almost everyone here blows him whenever he posts here is beyond me, he is a total twat.
Also he only likes five or so real metal bands(When he joined a year ago anyway) and yet he was let in as a official member, if anyone else were to post their list containing groups like pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, Queen, etc. he would've been told to fuck off, why he deserves special treatment just because you guys already know him is very bias against users who are new and you don't already know.
And I only argued with him once or twice, unless he wined to you then it shouldn't be any of your business.
Now end this, all of you. I made a simple joke and duff replied like a twat and so I retaliated.
I'm not arguing with duff anymore am I? Exactly.
I haven't argued with, let alone made any contact with ZAAL in at least a month. It was HIGHLY uncalled for to bring him up, Idio.
Don't any of you guys reply to this post, and if you do I will not reply again in return.

Haha maybe. William Blake has a bit of metal influence, but after that, they pretty much do away with the rest of their metal. As for what "trip-hop" is, I'm not really sure. I try not to classify Ulver's later stuff, because it's so varied and awesome that it transcends genres.

You should check out shadows. It's very minimalistic, beautiful, and soft, as well as soul-destroyingly sad.

Maybe I should check it out again... see what you think is so awesome about this track.

Well, when you listen to Shadows of the Sun the lights in your room dim and the dopamine/seratonin in your brain plummet.

I just love the high energy of it. Plus, I love the original so much that any metal version of it automatically wins. Also, this wins as well. If you couldn't tell, I'm a Beethoven fan. I love Romantic classical music.
