That was one of my favorite Romero films, but after watching all of his other ones again, after seeing Land of the Dead, it just wasn't the same, if you're looking for a newer and better Romero film to watch after you see that one, I recommend Diary of the Dead.
It's so realistic, and excellent, it's scary.
Not in an "oh shit I won't be able to sleep tonight." But it really gets to you, and stuck in your head after watching it for some reason, great fucking film.

Don't worry, I think we were all like that when we first saw "Slipknot" on Metal-Archives. I certainly was and had to check their page. Speaking of that Slipknot, I'm curious to know what their music is like.

Its fucking sick! Patronising Metal and making out like we have some kind of street cred, cult thing going on and that we're all potential murderers.

I find it really insulting.

That's the furthest thing from black metal. It's some sort of industrial rock/metal thing going on, but because it's sounds "evil" it must be satanic and black metal equals burning churches so evil equals black metal.

Plus we're talking about Fox here (a conservative Television channel that can't seem to see past it's own gigantic ego.)

Which is sort of funny, 'cause he likes metalcore.

that wasn't a jab at metalcore, i was just pointing out that it's ironic that both genres are, in essence, punk + metal, so it's funny that he only likes one.

Crossover is thrash mixed with hardcore, ala Stormtroopers of Death and DRI.

I wouldn't say hardcore because there's so many horrible hardcore bands. Say hardcore punk, and mention Suicidal Tendencies :D

And on the subject of only liking one, I fucking love Crossover and Metalcore is my least favourite genre of music in the world.

The 2 hours of pure one note chugs I had to withstand last night. Gol. The worst thing about all these Metalcore bands like Parkway Drive and As August Burns Red and Between the Buried and me is their guitarists and drummers are pretty damn good at playing.

YOU SUCK! But you play guitar well!

I got into the habit of saying crossover was a mix of thrash and NYHC. Then people I'm talking to don't go, "LIKE METALLICA AND FALL OUT BOY?!!1!!1?" and make me rage on them.

They confused Death Metal and Black Metal so many times and refereed to Metal as noise.

I love how they give most of the actors negative views on it.

Oh, what the fuck.

I doubt recovering a potentially human skeleton would be worth the fucking riot police or army or whoever the fuck they were.

And how exactly does Black Metal feature 'horrific violence'?

I like how they didn't mention the whole Anti-Christianity thing.

This.

And all the fags that called themselves "true metal heads" were total fucking poseurs. They're just fucking kvlt kiddies. The type of people that stand around at a funeral going "That guy died. That's BROOTUL." They've just been watching too many episodes of Metalocalypse.

I seriously think that one of the shows writers just read about Burzum and Mayhem and was all like "THIS MUST BE TRUE FOR ALL OF THIS MUSIC." I doubt they even listened to them even since their "black metal" was nothing even near black metal.

On the bright side, the song wasn't bad. Infact, it's 100x better than anything the nu-metal Slipknot ever made.

If that's what people say when they hear the term crossover, then I really hate humanity so much at times.

Land Of The Dead was pretty fucking awsome! It was so short though, I wanted to see them go to Canada. Hell, Id head up to Alaska if a zombie invasion ever took place.

Diden't George make a Day Of The Dead too? I want to see that if there even is a film.

I thought LoTd was a bit shit tbh, the original Dawn of the Dead is the best by far, and the remakes awesome too.

But whatever you do, don't buy Diary of the Dead, it's abysmal, and it's a George Romero film too, which is disappointing. Rent it if you're curious, but seriously, it's shit.
