When I was in high school, the worst I got for wearing a band shirt was hearing people read them out loud.

Sometimes when I'm just walking on the street going about my business, a random person will say something about whatever band shirt I'm wearing, usually positive. It feels weird, but it happens to me every now and then.

I wear shirts for that very reason. I love when i meet a random person who likes whatever band it is. I've gotten into whole conversations based on shirts alone

Which is exactly what black metal does.

for the dumbest black metal artists... yes...
but the most intelligent of them do not worship Satan....
if they want to oppose to God and christianism, they make references to viking and pagan religions. That's what I call intelligent opposition.

you cannot believe in Satan if you do not believe in God.
I explained this a page or two back. The point of Satanism (theistic Satanism) is to defy God's power or some shit. I think I described worshiping Satan as a big "FUCK YOU" to God.

I can understand this. But believing in Satan is just like admitting that God exists, and real black metal artists do not believe in God. Most of them are opposing the way Christianism has been implanted into Norway and how the church tried to destroy Pagan religions. So... believing in Satan... is just like saying "you have succesfuly assimilated us... but we are still hardcore!"

I know you have The Number of the Beast and Master of Puppets, but as for the other albums, I assume you have self-titled and Somewhere in Time along with Kill 'em All. I recommend getting Piece of Mind and Ride the Lightning next.

How the hell did you get into my house and look at my collection?!

Yeah, but then again, Tolkien's works were heavily inspired by Norse mythology. Certain metal bands have been influenced too much by Norse mythology, like manowar, for example. It's all down to how you read between the lines.

Industrial Metal for the most part, with some Groove bits mixed in.

If you like Mnemic or Machine Head at all you'll probably like Fear Factory (:

Well yes and no. You're assuming that all the bands that have Satanic imagery are actually worshiping Satan, and this is not the case. Most of them are just atheists or pagans using Satan as a symbol for opposition, rather than an object of worship. Theistic Satanists know full well that Satan can't exist without God, and they worship Satan because they agree with what he tried to do (Become more powerful than God).

Some of the black metal bands do worship Satan, like Mayhem, Sargeist, and Mordhell. I really don't have a problem with Theistic Satanic bands. This is true about most of the black metal bands being athiest or pagan. Even Gorgoroth's old singer, Gaahl, who sang for a Theistic Satanic band, is a Norse Pagan. I dont think that Religion should dictate good music. I think that Good music should dictate good music.

Hey, how do you guys like Unexpect? I heard them today for the first time, and they sound pretty good. They combine black metal, death metal, progressive metal, melodic heavy metal, European Classical music, opera, medieval music, jazz, electro, ambient, noise, gypsy music, and circus music. Here are some of their songs.
