Pretty much all of Helloween's shit is awesome...only real Power Metal band I like :D

Seriously, BFMV are like Metalcore through and through though.

well more like Metalcore/emo...BFMV ( thats Bullet for my Valentine, right...just so I dont look stupid....) suck imo...dreadful band.

Which channel was it? <__< HMV, Zavvi (now Head Entertainment...What kind of fucking name is that for a music retail store anyway?) and such put BFMV in the metal section, but they don't know everything about what's metal and what isn't. It's kinda sickening since people are going to assume they are metal and this makes a mess for when newcomers request to join the Metal Hell and say "Im in, trivium and bfmv rulz".

I couldn't agree more, although you might have wanted to say "Except for Pink Bubbles, Chameleon and Metal Jukebox" after that. Those albums aren't awesome, but they're tolerable in my view .

Thanks for explaining it to him.
Say, has there ever been a time where I posted more than five times in the Metal Hell in one day? I can't recall such moment before.
Rainbow - Sixteenth Century Greensleeve

well I only really like their pre 90's stuff, coz thats when they were in their prime :3
sorry, I misquoted it *bowbow*
Nagelfar - Kapitel III: Der Herbst (Strontgorrth)

Zavvi has been taken over?
Coool, I'll have to see if its any better now. Though, I don't have high standards, Virgin and Zavvi were both shit.
But this the way its always going to be. Its so much easier for retails to lump Metalcore, Hard Rock and Metal together than create space for other genres which most would just see as unnecessary.
Its not like real Metal takes up large amount of space anyway. It'd just be depressing if you got rid of all the non-Metal and had like three bands under the Metal heading :P.
Though maybe that would inspire more choice and in turn get more people into the genre.
But it'll never happen.

Probably not. You should post more regularly. Makes you feel like more of a member opposed to your usual once a day updates :).

Ah, fair enough. I enjoy the Deris era as well as the 80s Helloween (obviously). Infact, the first Helloween songs I heard were from the Deris era (i.e. The King for a 1000 Years and Mrs. God). Speaking of which, *looks at what he's listening to*

Don't expect much, it's just the same shop, but with a different name. I just go in those stores anyway whenever I'm in town, just incase they have something I'd actually get. The last thing I bought from there was Emperor's In the Nightside of Eclipse at the end of last year.
But this the way its always going to be. Its so much easier for retails to lump Metalcore, Hard Rock and Metal together than create space for other genres which most would just see as unnecessary.
I'd prefer it if they named it "Metal & Hardcore", so most of the non-metal bands there would actually be in the right place. That or they could merge the entire metal section with rock. If that were the case, I'd only need to focus on one section.

I'll see how I go over the next few days. There'll still be those days where I just make the one post, but they'll usually be for slower days or I'm doing other things.
Helloween - The King for a 1000 Years

lol, well I always like the sound of the singer's voice. (cant remember his name....D:)
I return now after four long days and nights of thinking. Yeah Im a massive asshole but half of you don't stop and think what I go through day to day. The argueing the screaming that I listen to everyday. It's nerve reckoning. I mean shit I nearly lost my mind last sunday. Im sorry to everyone I offended Or just blantenly pissed off.
Please, Forgive me. Can we just get on with metal talks like the good ol days? :)
AniMetal is the only reason I return. He was my support for these last few days. Support so I would'nt lose whats left of my sanity.
I post my rough draft of my essay on the history of metal tommororw.
Dent Im extremely sorry for being a massive shit to you the other day. If you wanna eat your greens then by gooley, YOU DO IT MAN!!!! :D

Korn is ok...not my fave band...I only like how John Dorian can put across his hate and pain as well as he does...but yes they are pain...both the song and the video.
Only remotely good song by Korn is right here...and its not even all that good...its mediocre at best.

I would have to say the music, but shitty music and shitty animations together is a lethal combination.

UHM?!?! is that a genre?
try some Agalloch, maybe early Candlemass.

What's UHM?
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

Sleep and High on Fire is what comes to mind, but I'm actually looking for more stoner stuff, and not just metal either.
Hey, i was wondering if i could join Metal Hell
Ive read quite a bit, so here's 10 bands that i like
Cannibal Corpse
Behemoth
Children of Bodom
Amon Amarth
Belphegor
3 inches of blood
Bloodbath
Death
Necrophagist
Frightmare
And all the old metal shit

At 4/2/09 11:38 PM, TECh2o wrote: Seeing that I only know those bands and maybe a couple extra, I definitely need some more to listen to.
Definitely look into Om.

Sanctification - Black Reign
does anyone have this, or a link to it my usual sources have turned up nothing, thanks in advance
also Nev, dont you think it seems really bizarre to put europe on the sunday night headline, usually thats the big headliner to draw people in (ok sometimes it some mainstream poo) either way im gona be in the beer tent/my tent drinking my fairly priced beer

Om (like Oppugnant said!)
Weedeater
Electric Wizard
Church of Misery
Bongzilla
Speaking of two of those, I bought tickets for Electric Wizard in Manchester the other night :).
Possibly going to see Church of Misery too.

It seems a bit weird but I think if people gave them a proper chance then they'd maybe enjoy them.
Beats fucking Dimmu Borgir :P.
Everyone will turn into hypocrites once The Final Countdown starts anyway :P.

i did some youtube crawling and found some very vanilla stuff, at best. and the final countdown makes me hate the human race, another confusing one is girlschool (who are shit, when i went to see motorhead they were supporting and were failing so hard lemmy came out to back them up) who fit into the same category as europe. If they get someone awesome the slot before i will be very upset.
but then again if its like At the gates and nightwish, at the gates over ran by about 30mins so that was awesome :P
also this co-headlining stuff is a bit odd, i kind of understood arch enemy and carcass (due a member in common) but blind guardian and cradle of filth...

I think its just to have more bands at the top of the bill, maximising the appeal. Headliners tend to get the most notice so having 5 is better than having 3.
