Listen to Hammerheart and Twilight of the Idols then listen to Into Glory Ride and Hail to England, and even Kings of Metal. The only difference is lyrical, and Manowar is faster and has a better singer. Other than that, Quorthon was totally going for the epic heavy metal sound Manowar did on those albums when he made Hammerheart. Again, Quorthon can't sing for shit, so he couldn't do Eric Adams' dramatic vocal style.

Looks like I have some albums to check out. I bought Hammerheart a while ago and really enjoyed it, but I've yet to get Twilight of the Gods. As for Manowar, I still haven't picked up Into Glory Ride or Hail to England. Perhaps I should soon.
