I make up for it by doing pretty well in music, though.

Is Goth Metal any good? I almost listened to Ethereal a while back. It looked interesting. And could you guys reccommend me some depressing metal? Could be black, death, etc, as long as it's bleak.

The only Goth Metal I know is Therion (though I could be wrong on that one), Theatre of Tragedy and Trail of Tears.
Not a big fan of those, though haven't really given them a thorough listen.

Funeral Doom:
Shape of Despair
DOOM:VS
Esoteric
Evoken
Void of Silence
Black:
Lurker of Chalice
Forgotten Tomb

Fucking elks. They're always up in my face. I don't keep a sharp eye on them and suddenly as i look up the motherfucker is grazing two inches from me. Crossing streets whenever they please. Who do they even think they are?
Also, on a lighten note, who was the one obsessed with The Melvins here again?

This isn't meant to be for your entertainment. This isn't a comedy thread, so why should it be entertaining to read?

Or Idioshit.
At 3/4/09 03:01 PM, batman64 wrote: Ok, I have never heard the Melvins.
Are they really that good?
Should I check them out and if so which discs?
My college radios' metal director(Whom is a huge doom/sludge/etc/ fan) had put them on via youtube to get me to listen this week, since he is trying to get me into doom type shit cause we argue about why each of our preferred genre of metal is better...and I know its sad i only listened to them now, especially considering (I assume Idio now?) one of the members being so addicted to them... BUT ANYWHO, i heard the song and fell inlove and must have it all now.
This is what I heard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oolwsWexS zQ&feature=related
Thus why Im trying to figure out who it was who always had that The Melvins sig, I demand references.

The Melvins are pretty kickass. I have Ozma, Gluey Porch Treatments, and Bullhead. They're all good.

I didn't mean that it was a comedy thread, just that the talk was kinda uninteresting to me, then a funny page happens

ahh history of bad men. (a) senile animal is fucking awesome, i'd reccomend that or bullhead as a starting album if youre getting into them, both very sludge orientated. the more ecclectic experimental albums like houdini are great too though. thats what i love about the melvins, theyre so ecclectic and prolific theres always something new to discover

Stéphane Paré, ex-vocalist of Quo Vadis has added me on Facebook a year ago when he left the band. He's going to start giving singing (growls and screams) lessons :)
