I can honestly say that they are both equally favourites of mine with those other two.
But the other two have a more catchy throaty-voice bit, and thats my favourite thing about Solefald. Sounds like he's singing on the verge of choking to death.

I can't stand any metalcore except all that remains, which is still pretty shittie.
And I actually like some deathcore and grindcore because some of it is decent.
In fact I should have said core, cause I'm much more into Deathcore than metalcore and grindcore.
And not the crappy genre of deathcore with a ton of breakdowns instead of actual riffs. But really nice bands like Threat Signal.
And if you check out the newest album of Soilwork... you can feel the core in their music... and I think that it's kind of sad that their music isn't anything like it was before.Which is why i'm glad of the 20 songs soilwork played when I saw them they only played four songs off their new album.
Their playing tomorrow in Montreal, I'd really like to see em.

Go see them.
Darkane, Warbringer and Swallow the sun are all really amazing live.
Soilwork is [retty good live, not better than those other three bands but still pretty good live.

Yeah, that's true. I like Sun I Call 'cause of the sax (i learned how to play a little bit of it), and I like Sagateller because it's fucking epic.

Darkane is fucking great. It's nice that their playing with Soilwork. That's two of my favorite bands on the same show.

THEN WHY DON'T YOU GO SEE THEM?! GRRRRRRRRRR
Seriously. 45 minutes of Swallow the sun, 45 minutes of warbringer, 80 minutes of Darkane and 20 songs by Soilwork isn't worth passing up.

I did read that, It's why I feel like shit.
Black Sabbath are the only metal godfathers worther of that title.

Unless. You like cheese of course.
In fact, if I saw a very cheesey metal band I like live, it might be cool.
Oh yeah.
Shit.
I like King Diamond. That's pretty cheesey. Actually, it's good, because it's technical and original, not like Manowar W.A.S.P. rock metal cheese stuff.

MOZART is good but predictable. Opeth is original and awesome, and full of win.

Yeah it's kind of like that but only when you're the one passing judgement because you've apparently lost touch with you gauge awesomeness. Dio is awesome like every super hero fighting at once, Dio is awesome like Arnold in Conan the Barbarian, Dio is awesome like John mother fucking Henry dying with a hammer in his hands and proving to the world he won't be beat by no machine. GTFO with this Barney shit.
?
Fine I will listen to some Dio right now.
Rainbow in the Dark is the first song that comes up on Youtube.
I give it a 6/10. That's not awesome in my fucking mental dictionary.
That shit was bad rock. When someone says, do you like rock? Dio doesn't go through my head.

You'd be right if you shortened to word 'Butthole' to 'Bon' and completely changed the 'Surfers' bit to 'Jovi'.
Then you'd be right on target.
If that target was a heart.
And your statement a shot.
Through it.

I don't think Dio is supposed to be considered Rock in the first place.
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

Dio is rock all over.
First, you get a big fat arse slab of heavy Black Sabbath.
Then you completely melt about 200 tonns of cheese on it.
And you get Dio's Rainbow in the Dark.
Bon Jovi takes it in the arse.
My horizons are expanded as crap.
I'm just a huge Black Sabbath band.
They're my favourite band in the universe. I fucking love them. I've learned to play a lot of the songs.
I have a band called Mind Execution, a lyric from Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. We do a cover of N.I.B. and our first gig is in three weeks.
I'm a big arse fan of them. No one can beat them in my view. My horizons are very expanded. But there's no beating the first 4 - 6 Sabbath albums.

It doesn't, but weird shit happens in this world and the prime minister of Britain liking metal is one of them. Then again, it would be amusing to see how those "OMG METAL IZ SATANIC!" morons would react to Brown's musical interests. If we followed their logic (which none of us would do), then our prime minister is a satanist. :P

You're right, it doesn't make you anymore 'metal', but I'd love to try and get into the majority of metal genres. I've been wanting to do this since I started getting into metal and I still have a long way to go. I'm not doing this to be more 'metal', I'm doing this to get into lots of stuff. Infact, metal is the reason why I went back to classic rock and soon to look at any modern rock music I should have checked out a while ago.

I'll admit, at first I thought Dio had a rock feel, but as time went by, I knew his stuff was METAL.
Listening to Ensiferum - Lady in Black. Am I listen to too much Ensiferum or what?

Lol, Like you used to say about Opeth, Ulver and all that shiiiii-
to Me, Black sabbath isn't really amazing, Not even in my top 100 bands, just because they did it first doesn't mean automatically good.
Just slightly Heavier Rock, Blues scale and all that.
I mean you might say that Flames of Hell Were the first Black metal band, I don't see them getting any attention, They were doing black metal back in '84. (listen to "Cut you down")
I'm not going to disrespect anyone that Likes Black Sabbath, but I just find nothing Special about 'em.

No, wrong, try again.
Not only is it completely fallacious to make such a sweeping generalization (that's worse that our usual 'power metal sucks!' or 'all black metal is ghey'), but rock is the protoplasmic sludge whence all metal comes.
Also, if you search "Dio" on youtube, you get this;
"Results for: god (dio)"
hahahaha

Well, you have learned my opinion on that. deal with it. I have a pretty good tolerence for many genres of music, but none of the ones i listed.

Humans came from single celled organisms that existed hundreds of millions of years ago. that doesn't mean I would sit down and have a beer with one.

And there are still many, many more power metal bands out there, waiting to be discovered. I feel them growing stronger, ever stronger within me. Oh i'll help you find them, because together we can accomplish anything.

Well, that, and single-celled organisms can't really drink beer anyways.
