Casualty, do you know what's funny and intelligent? All caps.

Yeah, don't do that again. By the way, moshing at a power metal concert as far as I know is a no-no. You look like an asshole doing it, really. Some dipshits decided to make a few at a Clutch show a few weeks ago which I attended. Clutch is a stoner rock band, not Anthrax or any shit like that. Leave moshing to thrash, slam death, and metalcore. You ruin the vibe if you try it because not everyone appreciates having a few drunk fuckholes running into you, making you spill your drink all over your girlfriend and then have to deal with her.

I agree with Casulaty, but see where you lot are coming from.
ALTHOUGH the biggest pricks are people who don't mosh @ gigs meant for moshing, and give you dirty looks for having fun. I mean for gods sake join in.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-01-31 10:33:12

If there hadn't been any moshing, I would've thought the concert was rather boring... As fuck.

Know what I agree, it's why I think some of my favorite bands like SA won't be as fun live.

There's a clear difference between moving and moshing you know. You can jump and do some shoving, but don't slam dance or flail.

Dragonforce don't blast. They just play fast double bass.
Listen to Suffocation, thats blasting.

And Power Metal isn't a moshing gig, its about over-the-top textures and talking bullshit, its not an aggressive style of music. Its like moshing at a James Blunt gig. Power Metal is more fist pumping and headbanging.

Speaking of Clutch, I bought Clutch's album Clutch. Bought. On CD. AMAZING.

And, the hip-hop influence sort of gave me a lump in my throat, but I fucking do like it. And um. I kind of don't know whether to post what I'm thinking of posting right now. Oh well, whatever, I will make myself look stupid for Idio's amusement.

If anyone say's to me, "Do you know Clutch?" I will immediately start shouting this at them:

OOH! EEH! OOH AH AH! TWING! TWANG! WALLA WALLA BING BANG!
OOH EEH! OOH AH AH TWING TWANG WALLA WALLA BING BANG OH YEAH!
OOH! EEH! OOH AH AH! B! I! N G O!!!

I don't mind mosh pits at concerts.

Since i'm usually always at the front of the crowd or in that general area.

The thing that pisses me off at concerts is people who stand at the front of the crowd and don't rock out in the slightest or show any signs of having fun.

Seriously at the symphony X concert I went to I was headbanging and someone bumped into me and I knocked into this girl who was just standing there looking bored out of her skull and she glared at me like "Touch me again and i'll stab your brains out."

I'm sure all of us have run into at least someone like this at a concert they've gone to.

The only mosh pits I have seen at concerts that I thought would be worth getting into was at the Opeth + High on fire concert, and another at the rotting Christ + Mantic ritual + Epicurean concert(But alas there were too few people their to even attempt a mosh pit. :()

Also penisclown stop ripping on Heavenduff, seriously i'm starting to find you just as annoying as him.

And melodeath kicks ass.

So I got home from school yesterday right, and I sit down and look at the birds on the birdfeeders. When out of the blue a fucking hawk pounces on this dove!!!!! It was so fucking incredible watching a predator hunt it's prey. The hawk was jabbing it with it's claws and when it died it just flew off with it in it's claws. AMAZEING!!!! Since then the hawks been hanging around my house it took out the other (single) dove out. So theres blood and feathers all over my yard.

So yeah thats my story for you today children.

And for the sake of preventing an argument in the future i'd like to add this: Yes, you do know your shit.

Metalcore sucks, it is true.
All That remains is a painfully medicore band at best, they have a few OK songs but they are nothing in the slightest to right home about.
Death Magnetic IS shit.

However I disagree with your sentiments about Gothenburg and Melodeath metal.

I find it great, and that is an opinion.

You know your stuff, but you need to realize their are other opinions in the world than yours.

Now PenisClown shut up about Duff, and Duff just stop talking metalcore and shit like Metallica.

Whether you like it or not doesn't matter, just don't talk to us about it other wise every one is just going to keep on bashing on you.

Lol.

-----------------------------------

Anyway, as i'm sure you guys know by now, the famous venue "The Palladium" that I always talk about hosts multiple metal concerts every week.

Everyone from Maiden and metallica to bands like Rotting Christ and Tursofuck to bands like Blind Guardian and symphony X, etc.

Basically every metal band to ever tour in the USA no matter how famous or unfamous and no matter what genre has played there.

I'm talking about 7 - 12 metal concerts per month.

My problem is this: April 17th and 18th.

On the site's events these two dates are labeled "16th Annual metal + Hardcore New England festival" with a huge ass list of bands playing these two days.

At first I thought cool but as I looked close I saw the "Metal" that was playing.
DAY 1
All That Remains,
The Acacia Strain,
August Burns Red,
Suffocation,
Napalm Death,
Whitechapel,
Kataklysm,
Cattle Decapitation,
Veil of Maya,
Abigail Williams,
Decrepit Birth,
Psycroptic,
Intronaut,
Withered,
Left to Vanish,
Lazarus A.D.,
Kylesa,
XAFBX,
Trap Them,
Aggressive Dogs,
Toxic Holocaust,
XWarX,
Psyopus,
Woe of Tyrants,
Rose Funeral,
Nachtymystium,
xTHE WARx
DAY 2
Lamb Of God,
As I Lay Dying,
Children Of Bodom,
God Forbid,
Municipal Waste,
Have Heart,
Shipwreck,
Winds of Plague,
Emmure,
All Shall Perish,
Austrian Death Machine,
Terror,
iwrestledabearonce,
Unholy,
Shai Hulud,
Cold World,
Trapped Under Ice,
This is Hell,
Cruel Hand,
The Carrier,
Energy,
Defeater,
Dead Swans,
Century,
Book of Black Earth,
Acaro,
Animals as Leaders,
Withered,
Landmine Marathon,
The Ghost Inside

Also performing but not yet decided which day:
Unearth
Bullet for My valentine
Job for a cowboy
Every Time I Die
Sick Of It All
Since The Flood
Impending Doom
Born Of Osiris

Why a venue that holds true metal concerts every few days has this many metalcore and shittie death metal(Not good death metal, a few bands here are the shit kind of death metal) at the annual metal festival I don't know.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

White Zombie is metal. Rob Zombie (even though I like his stuff) is not metal, and Chimera is metal enough, but that doesn't constitute good. They're terrible in my opinion, but nonetheless metal.
