I'm completely put off them by the Roadrunner Allstars DVD where the drummer looks like a greasey dickwod.
I don't think I could listen to them and not feel dirty.
Rwake - Dying Spiral Galaxies (If You Walk Before You Crawl, You Crawl Before You Die)
I saw Type-O-Negative during Graspop 2007 and I got put off by the fact that some fat German guy was trying to rape me during the concert. Oh, and I thought the music sucked, too >_>

They seem decent, I don't think I'd listen to them much though.
"I HOPE YOU'RE PROUD OF WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME! YOU NEVER FUCKING CAAARREEDDD!"
This band are brilliant too, aggressive as hell.

Better then smeagol rapeing you. :3 I used to have an interest in type o negative. I really don't anymore.
Goth/Gay.
I went metal shopping today, as this city I'm visiting has a lot of stuff, it being a big city and all.
Acquired:
Cathedral - Garden of Unearthly Delights. The CD was scratch and sniff. Apples.
Clutch - Clutch. Was this a wise decision oh great Idio?
Kyuss - The Circus Leave's Town. I listened to it in the car, it felt a lot more grungy than bluesy. That made me sads.
Megadeth - Killin is My Business... The 1999 CD version. No these boots. And an ugly cover.
Megadeth - So Far, So Good, So What. Unfortunately, the remixed and remastered series. :(((((
Tool - 10,000 Days. The only Tool album I didn't have. Not counting Opiate. Anyway, the trippy 3D artwork stuff rules.
Heeeeeeeeeeeeell yeah.

Type O Negative are awesome. Used to own a copy of Bloody Kisses but I'm not sure where it went. That was a while ago but I was really into October Rust a few months ago regardless of the "gayness". Haunted especially is an excellent track. I also like some songs from Life is Killing Me but I haven't heard the whole thing.
?
Quick question guys, what does it mean when a band does a "special club show"? I just read Lamb of God are coming to Belgium in June, and on the venue's site (the only official confirmation until now) it says it's a "special club show". Any idea what that means?

I think they mean that they don't normally do club shows, but in that case they will. Making it special.

I finally got myself to buy Ensiferum's debut album and Iron. About fucking time, eh? I'll have to wait for a few days to a week, though, but at least I'm finally getting them.
Also, random curiosity: Do you share the same birthday with any metal musicians? If so, who? I share the same birthday with Jesse Pintado of Napalm Death (assuming grindcore counts, which I think does) and John Petrucci on 12th July.

It's nice and catchy, would be amazing live.
Ah, good. I wasn't too sure to get it since I've heard mixed reception from the album, but from your thoughts, I should give it a try. Thanks! :)

This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

Pantera are gay... and shit. And their guitarist got lol'd in the lol'd.
But yeah, I was reading Total Guitar magazine (which I believe Ryan will vouch for me if I say that its shit) every month at the time and I was listening to the bands they were tabbing and plus watching a lot of Kerrang and stuff like Metallica, Pantera, DragonForce got me into Metal.

Thats summary is waaaay too simple to sum up you're fucked up journey to where you are now.
I LIKE PROG.... nah, I don't more.
I LIKE FOLK.... nah, not anymore.
I LIKE AVANT-GA... actually, no I don't.
ETC... etc, etc.

No Metal musicians, but I share my birthday (May 18th) with Jack Jackson and - better..ly - Rick Wakeman. I'm actually kind of happy about the Wakeman discovery.
And Ian Curtis topped himself exactly ten years before I was born... which is cool, in a morbid way.
To be honest I'm happiest about sharing it with John 'Former World Snooker Champion' Higgins :).

True true. But with maturity comes.... Maturity?
I like progressive elements, they are good. I like folk elements, they are good. I like avant-garde influence, that is teh good.
But prog metal like DT I find not good. Folk metal like Turisas I find not good. And avant-garde like.... You know, I probably would like avant-garde, I enjoyed The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, Perdition City and Shadows of the Sun by Ulver. I have Blood Inside but I havn't given that a proper listen. Although that stuff probably falls under the moniker of electronic. But I'm digesting a lot of other music at the moment, I'm not really ready to take on avant-garde. I've got 7 new albums today. Two of which I've heard..... I'm worried, I don't think I find a connection with Megadeth anymore :( I seem to have lost the passion for them. Grrr I just bought two of their albums.
Also, Obscura is teh shiznizzle.
And my birthday is April Fool's Day. So. I have no idea.

Now come on, Awake!?
Fuck you :P.

Yeah, well Shadows of the Sun does.
Arcturus is more Garm's AG vehicle... or was at least :(.
Solefald put me off avant-garde black metal, which is why I don't have any Arcturus. But I will lurk them.
And Awake is sick as. But I don't listen to bands who have only one good album. They sicken me.

Kinetic
Thats the song Alex introduced me to that got me into them originally.
And Awake is sick as. But I don't listen to bands who have only one good album. They sicken me.
Images and Words
Metropolis, Pt. 2
Octavarium
All brilliant (if only for the title track in one case).
GO LISTEN 2 BURZUEM!
I thought Images and Words was lame and shit. I thought Octavarium was lame and shit.
Burzum have two really good albums, two bad albums, and two ambient albums.
I have the two really good albums :3

I'll give you lame for both. I'll give you shit for Octavarium. But Images and Words is a classic, sure its not very heavy, but the music is over 9000. And the song Octavarium owns balls >:(.
bands that got me into metal: Nightwish, Tyr, and Wintersun.
SOAD was the first "heavy" band i ever listened to.
i got into metal from black sabbath then straight to electric wizard. no mediocre middle stages for me!
