nude with boots? i only heard it once, checked it out on last.fm when it first came out. its more a straight heavy rock album than metal or experimental, still some awesome unique musical arrangements and riffs, and the two-drummers thing is still sounding good. to be honest i wouldnt say its one of their best but respect to them for successfully doing an album in yet another new unique style.

Sup guise, I'd like to re-join, because I'm getting a bit bored of the rest of NG for now... I'm currently into stuff like The Faceless, Beneath The Massacre, Born Of Osiris, Skinless, All Shall Perish... The heavier stuff, so to say.

All time favourites include Children Of Bodom, Slayer, Arch Enemy, Hatebreed, more or less. And IMO, the best band EVER is Lamb of God. Amirite Bahamut? ;)

Also upcoming gigs (you're going to kill me):

30th Januari: Dragonforce with Turisas. HAHAHAHAHA. No really, I'm seeing Dragonforce because they play hillariously fast, and I'll be drunk as fuck there with a friend as it's the day my exams end. And Turisas ARE awesome.
22nd Februari: Children Of Bodom (wooo) and Cannibal Corpse (FFFFUUUck yeah). Not much to say, two awesome bands.

I'm not sure whether or not to call this band Stoner Doom, Funeral Doom or what.
All I know is they're very abstract and psychedelic.

Try some grindcore bands, they're not as 'weedly weedly' as Brain Drill, but still got the same drumming style you're after. Also try Dark Funeral and Belphegor.

Yeah... I've tried grindcore too. Intestinal Disgorge are amazing, for instance. But I'm also looking for the "weedly weedly" :P Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out too :D

Just got home from my Guitar Orchestra concert. Played two songs, first lasted an hour and was just some Avant-Garde piece (In C, Terry Riley). And the othr was a tweny minute song (Having Never Written a Note for Percussion, James Tenney) that totally sounded like a Sunn O))) song :).

Maybe I'll look into them later, but Icewind? As everyone else said here, that's a terrible band name. Infact, this is one of my complaints about power metal. Quite a lot of bands have lame names for themselves, but luckily that doesn't affect the music. However, for names like Fairyland, I think I'll stay far away from them.
