Older, More Acoustic Sound (The Jester Race)

Personnaly I prefer The Jester Race over their other Albums; with Whoracle, Clayman, and Colony trailing Very close behind. As with their new sound, it prety much sucks.

I like the "Good Ol' In Flames" stuff the most(even though I think that Whoracle mixes Jester Race sound with the Colony/Clayman sound). Jester Race was great too, but I didn't like Lunar Strain that much.

When I got into In Flames, I liked their new sound as well, but I got bored quickly and Ander's horrible whining pisses me off.

In relation to the In flames stuff, i do prefer Jester Race over Clayman (just) but i also like reroute to remain i dont know what it is but i do enjoy it :S so a clean simple yes to all of them :S

Just got Sunn O))) - White2. It's pretty alright actually. I was a bit sceptical before I listened to it as i'd heard some of their other stuff and wasn't a fan but this was good. Definetely not music that will be appreciated widely though.

Ever heard of Deteriorot? I just got their CD, In Ancient Beliefs. Ever heard of Dawn Of Dreams? I got their CD a while back, called "Darklight Awakening". Both are death metal, the first being hard death metal while the second is melodic death metal.

Hey, Goatchrist, I like your work, Shores Of Sheol. The mix is a bit dodgy, and the songs could be longer, but I like the idea. I listen to it every day. :) Also, Sathur sounds like so much of a ripoff of Satyricon's Satyr. Not to insult you or anything, but Sathur almost sounds like Satyr with a th instead of a t. However, I like the artwork, your stuff is pretty grim. I look forward to a full time release.

Singer? Well, there's always Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, if you want that 80's "shred" sound, or you can listen to Emperor's Prometheus: Discipline of Fire and Demise if you want that technical, dark, intense sound, or you can listen to Borknagar for a similar sound, they sing in that band. Those are my top three reccommendations.

This is weird... I just realized I have only one american metal band in my CD collection... Deteriorot's In Ancient Beliefs. The rest are German, Norwegian, British, Swedish, or Brazilian. Damn.
