Nah, currently I'm out of resources and will let that hobby rest for a while. I sold a few guitars and sold most of my working material as well.

Still, get off your lazy butt and start working ^^

I'm currently out of new music and I would need a few recommendations. Any great new discoveries? Style doesn't matter.

I planned on making myself a workbench to work on before i started the guitar, but i may skip that and just go straight into making the guitar. But first, i need to get my license, then i can go for a drive to buy some material.

and metal.

I'm probably the last one here to say this, but welcome back Goatchrist! Congrats on your new job and nice to hear you've got your own flat. :)

I'll be back more often now, I promise - life has finally turned into a better direction for me and I tend to keep it that way.

This is brilliant news!

Any news from you guys? I hope you are doing just fine out there.

Not much is happening to me right now, but since the first week of November, I've been trying to listen to all my metal artists alphabetically and I should have it done by Christmas. :)

Hmm, I preferred The System Has Failed, but United Abominations wasn't a bad album. I'm looking forward to hearing their next album, which I'm guessing will be out by the end of next year.

Sorry :(.

I forgot to mention in my last post I had my first practice with my band earlier today.
We had a run through some riffs and started putting some stuff together. Unfortunately we can't practice as a full band until January due to people going home for Christmas, but we're planning on getting a demo done in January. And I'm going round to the other guitarists to get stuff written in the next two weeks.

It was pretty heavy but the vocalist wants us to get more evil. He's an ace singer too. Insane shrieks :D.

I thought they were crappy, but maybe I was wrong...
You might not like their older stuff, pre-1999 such as Pure Holocaust.
But yes they are definitely awesome :) Check out At the Heart of Winter, it's great.

em... does that mean that their older stuff sucks? or that " I " wouldn't like it ?

Cause I just listenned to the album Damned In Black and I think that it's kind of interresting.
I'll make sure to listen to some titles from At The Heart Of Winter.

I have Pure Holocaust, but for some reason the tracks are all longer than wikipedia or metal-archives says they are.

first track is 31 minutes, third track is 16, and the 8 and 9ths are both 10 minutes. the rest of the songs are well over the 5 minute mark. I've mentioned this before, but I failed to mention that this was a problem and I wasn't bragging about the length. Does anyone know why these songs are so fucking long?

My favorite metal singer is Trace Cyrus from metrostation. His lyrics might be a little too deep for you all, but you should give him a chance.

You're hilarious, nobody has ever made this joke or anything similar in the history of this thread, Paris Hilton is hot, Naruto is the best anime ever, the words of Larry the Cable Guy have changed my life, etc.

Misc. Glitch.
I had the same problem with "With Oden on our side"
Songs SEEM to be extremely long, and If you skip along in the track to like 30 minutes it keeps playing.

But If you listen to the songs throughout, you'll find they are just as long as they're supposed to be.
Say a track is actually 3 minutes but seems to be 90 minutes.

Listen for 3 minutes, and the track will switch.

Not a problem really, just a pain in the the ass if you want to get to a particular part.
For me, It just changed one day randomly, the time is right in my iTunes now.
