I have no idea what your talking about.
If your talking about that Slayer song we were suppose to do over a year ago then wtf.
When I die. It will be in a blaze of glory.

Nice group of bands.

Seriously. Most lineups have at least one shitty band that no one likes, but Paganfest has something for all folk lovers.

I will. It would be a great way to sort out our bullshit, and I already play guitar in a doom metal band.

Yeah, had a blast there :). Did you go?
And there is some filth on the Hellfest lineup but I expect they're all there just so Manowar can feed :P.
Screw you guys and your countless festivals. We only get Soundwave and Big Day Out, and both line ups this year (except Prodigy and Lamb Of God) suck. When i say suck, i mean its full of nothing but emo and fail.

Get on a plane and come to Europe then :P.

I'll collab with you Kidd. I already play guitar in a doom metal band.

I'm going to Soundwave 09 :)
Mostly for the social aspect but there's a few bands I'd like to see.
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

I tried winning tickets for BDO off the side of a V can. Worst 55cents i've spent on a message ever.

Heaven and Hell coming to Finland next summer. Dio, Geezer, Iommi, and Appice.
I´ll definitely go see it.

I didn't bother watching At the Gates, just went into the beer tent and had a chat until Nightwish came on. Though the only reason I bothered with them was because they were the last band.
And Helloween were good stuff :). Gay as hell, but good.

gayer then hell actually :P and i got bored and left half way through nightwish :P also due to massive back ache after at the gates as there were about a million people smushed up against me :S but thats the downside of being pretty much (one person away from) at the barrier
ZOMG new DOOM:VS is magnificent.
Can't believe I didn't discover it 'til today.

Friday night was a awesome performance by ACDC in Vancouver
2nd row seats, 15 feet away from the stage, all the amps right above my head
They only played for an hour and 45 minutes. But the 100$ was worth it.
Saturday afternoon their was a all ages show at a 19+ venue. First time in 10 years or something. Bison B.C was pretty good, But not overly amazing. 3 inches of blood had a awesome performance, couldn't have been happier. My friend got a guitar pick when he threw it into the crowd.Priestess wasn't great, smoked a joint during their first 2 songs then just left, not my style of music.
Overall AWESOME weekend

You missed At The Gates ???
Seriously, being there, it's probably the band that I would have liked to see the most...
Nightwish ?!? Come on... they aren't that bad... but seriously not that good either...

I was at the barrier for Opeth and was fine :P.
Then again, not much pushing happens during Opeth sets.

Miss, no. Chose not to see, yes.
There is a difference.

They headlined the Sunday, and I'm a sucker for light shows in the cool dark night :).

I ought to get some of their stuff. still haven't gotten around to doing that.
I'm listenning to a song right now that is called Dämmerung, it's by the German band Equilibrium.
And I was thinking about this, I really like it when we can feel the great emotions during a song, due to all the melodies and all the emotion putted in the instruments and vocals.
And I was just thinking... this song's so fucking great.
Do you guys have songs like these? Songs that make you feel something, feel some emotions !!!
At 12/1/08 12:31 PM, HeavenDuff wrote: Do you guys have songs like these? Songs that make you feel something, feel some emotions !!!
A couple.
Soothsayer by Buckethead.
While it's not Metal, (arguably) it is indeed very emotional.
The second is Captain Morgan's Revenge by Alestorm.
The lyrics for the chorus are fucking retarded, but it's very emotion-invoking and uplifting. I shiver every time I hear it.

Yeah. Listen to April Song, the emotion really builds in that song :).

It's not bad for emotion.
Wondering off Colma is hearttugging... though couldn't be more removed from Metal.

WTF.

As I said, the lyrics look like they were written by Blackbeard, but it's the way the song SOUNDS that matters.
Soothsayer doesn't even have any fucking lyrics.

But Buckethead is an incredible musician. As opposed to a band thats 99% gimmick.

B-But...Pirates!
And Metal!

I enjoy them. I just don't associate them with emotion :P.
Oh, and HeavenDuff, check out Warning, the emotion in their music is unbelievable (ly depressing).
You love me... I knoooowww yooou do.
Right, I'm pissed.
Why did nobody tell me Municipal Waste were the best thing ever?
