I had a strat copy too, but it was so bad that I didn't enjoy playing it. Even the first guitar should be well chosen.

Depends on what you want, if you want to start with the heavy shit already, then better take a look at the lower priced ESP(Ex-50) or Jacksons.

I might actually start posting in here now. My favorite metal band is Slayer.

The album art for my band, Black Death, is just a black and white photo taken at night with all of our band members in corpsepaint holding our instruments. Our logo rests at the top right (drawn by yours truly). Sadly enough, it isn't on my comp.

Metal bands I like are: Slayer, Ozzy, Curse The Sun, Megadeth, and some OLD Metallica (Master of Puppets, etc).

Well, our band right now is called Black Death, and the "black" part of the logo is spikey and thorny, like Borknagar's logo, and the other part, the "Death" part is more "crumbly", sort of organic looking, with "vines" coming out of it, sort of like Darkthrone's logo. Across the center with "vines" wrapped around it, lies an inverted cross. You can see a picture of me in corpse paint crouched over in my profile pic.

My lyrics are about paganism, worship of false gods(Christians) and the underworld Sheol. I'm very interested in that stuff, lately :)

Our lyrical matter is mostly storytelling. We tell interesting stories with our lyrics that often have ideas and coherent themes to them. Though I write more stuff other than that, in my band I keep it to stuff like "In the Winterwinds" and "Cursed To Inhumanity", although those are the songs of my oneman band midian, and yes we have made a demo. I won't submit them to NG because they're our songs not my songs and not everybody wants to submit them.

I understand. Do you have any material from your oneman band? I'd LOVE to hear some. I'm working my ass of lately, I have 2 songs finished and the 3rd one is almost done. It remembers me of Beherit, at least a little =P

I submit my stuff from my onemanband to NG, so go ahead, look at audio by Grim_T. Some of them are subpar, but most are pretty good. Not all may suit your tastes.

I liked "Cursed to Inhumanity" the most. You have great clean vocals for black metal :) I don't sing clean, I'm not a good singer. Just shrieking, some growling and sometimes whispering.

I think that my screaming style sounds pretty strange, but I like it :)

I'm about to launch my band website soon, I'll post it when I'm done.

I just have to record them tomorrow, I don't want to wake up my neighbors in my apartment complex. So I've got 2 saved songs without names that are waiting for lyrics.

Sounds good to me. Sadly, I can't find anyone who really enjoys black metal in my area. The other band I have is more in the thrash vein and quite melodic. But finding black metal musicians is almost impossible.

Yes. I submitted them both at once. I think I will quickly return to the "Cold but melodic" sound I've done so much. When I get the time and knowledge I'll make a website for Black Death, and it will have some of our songs on it.

Nice stuff, but yes, your traditional stuff is a little better ;)

If you don't want to spend so much time on making a website, try a free host with a site builder like freewebs, try to look for a better one, though.
