I checked out a pretty unknown Power Metal band called Skylark today.

I have but ONE problem with them...

I've been getting into progressive death metal and technical death metal.

and technical progressive death metal.

I think I've posted this artist before, but I want to bring attention to him again becasue he's really good. I've had his album for a couple of months now and I still think it's great.

I never judge a band by their looks and Manowar is no exception. When I heard their music, I was like "Whoa, this is great!" but when I saw their appearances, I was like "They look kinda gay, but fuck it. They make great music!"

Heh, this is the recommendations I was asking for last year. I was recommended to listen to Sodom, Vio-Lence and a few other bands and while I enjoyed what I heard, I've yet to get any of their albums. *sigh* Typical of myself.

Skylark are great :). I really like them. Believe in Love (I think thats the name) is such a good ballad :D.

Yeah, but Jeff Waters recently has this really crappy tendency of recycling riffs, melodies and solos over and over. It's quite a shame, really, 'cause he's a really good guitarist, and his first few albums were amazing. Especially "Alice In Hell", that's definitely an album worth checking out. "Carnival Diablos" isn't that bad, either, but it has lost the feel of the first albums.
