The Faceless' new album "Planetaary Duallity' has leaked.

I'm digging it. All you Tech Death lovers, this is a must for you.

This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

I'm totally going to use one of those manowar condums next time I fuck.

It'll be awesome.

Anyway I don't know why everytime i'm here barely anybody posts and they aren't particularly interesting, yet when I disappear for a while and come back I just miss a flood of drama.

I want to join in with at least one three page long flamewar/heated debate.

I'm addicted, ADDICTED TO CHAOS!!!

Seriously though, I don't know what's with all the hate you guys have.

Besides the new users in here who say slipknot is metal and that have no real taste in music I don't hate or even dislike anybody in this club.

I love you all. :3

Now that that is settled, i've gotten a number of new albums this past week at Newbury comics!

End of an era - Nightwish
Nightfall in middle earth - Blind Guardian
A night at the opera - Blind Guardian
The damnation game - Symphony X
Divine wings of tradegy - Symphony X
Land of the free part 2 - Gamma Ray
Gambling with the devil - Helloween
Ten - Pearl Jam
Youthanasia - Megadeth
Reroute to remain - In Flames
Unia - Sonata arctica
Immortal - Pyramaze

So far i'm loving all of them, and I disagree with the people in here who say Unia is Sonata Arctica's worst album, I think it is one of their better albums personally. Oh well.

What other albums do you guys recommend?

Keep in mind i don't like a lot of death, black or core stuff(Some but not a lot) I mainly listen to power, progressive, symphonic, technical, thrasher, heavy and speed metal.

SHOOT.

What are you doing anyway, starting a black/grind project?

Well, if that's what it sounds like, whatever.

I'm not restricting myself, but I want to aim for a black-ish, thrashy kind of sound.

I put a blast beat in at the end.

I'm talking about the bit at the beginning.

I also had trouble coming up with a guitar part for that, so I just played 2 random notes.

I cosidered just having the spoken word part on its own with the sound of water dripping in the background. In retrospect, I probably should have gone with that.

I am adamant in my belief that Alice in Chains are genuinely metal. Listen to any of their records and tell me they aren't. I mean, Black Label Society is just as heavy as Alice in Chains and they're unanimously agreed upon as being metal.

Well, it's the weakest out of the three albums of theirs I own (i.e. Ecliptica, Reckoning Night and Unia), but it's still a great album!

What other albums do you guys recommend?

Going by the bands you mentioned there:

Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray and Helloween - Whatever you don't have :P
Megadeth - Anything, except Risk.

You like Grand Declaration of War, so you're just about the weirdest person I know. You'll love Ulver.

Just stay away from the movie soundtracks and Teachings in Silence though. Too ambient.

Urgh. I find it hard to listen to the debut because of War. That songs is so fucking shit. I think I might just delete that album.

DSEV, HLTO and Dunkelheit are sweet as fuck though.

I started downloading some of their albums again (I hadn't bothered with them again since all my music got wiped.) and I'm hating all these fucking re-recorded versions. You can't download the originals anywhere. I think you might be able to torrent them, but I don't have any torrent software anymore. Does anyone else have the re-released albums? Does anyone remember what the original vocals to Take No Prisoners sounded like? Gol.

Wow. Great job on pointing out the flaws in other people. If only more of the world were like you. Dickhead.

Sorry, I'll avoid using my brain when your there next time I see you on :)

I went to the In Flames show last night.

36 Crazyfists was fucking great
Gojira was fucking great
In Flames was freakin awesome !!!

All That Remains was good, but the sound setting really sucked hairy monkey balls.

Seriously, that was one of the best show I ever went to, In Flames really deserve all the recognition they get.
They played some stuff of the Jester Race and they played The Hive.
A few songs of their new album, two songs from Clayman (Satellites and Astronauts, Pinball Map)
and absolutely none from Colony :(

I know that someone in the Metal Hell is going to see them live in a few days, so I'll send you a picture of the set list soon :)

No way. Svidd Neger has some great stuff like Waltz of King Karl, Rock Massif parts 1 and 2, and Wheel of Conclusion. And Theme 7 from Lykanthropen Themes is great. I'll agree with you on Teachings in Silence, though.

What the fuck? I think Kveldssanger, William Blakes' and Shadows of the Sun > Blood Inside.

Oh shit, I forgot. I've been searching for new bands so much and getting albums of theirs and I still didn't do that. I'll do that sometime when I get home.

And on the subject of bands I've been discovering, Varuna and the Soundbyte are both pretty cool. not exactly for those looking for something heavy, but I like it. And the Apocryphal Voice is okay, but I didn't keep their album. And dot(.) is cool sludge. There's a lot of stuff I have bookmarked to check out.
