Deciding to put those in was a bad idea anyway, considering you can't even hear them.

Well I'm glad that is cleared up, doesn't stop me enjoying slipknots music though. I always like their crossover style of music. In other news, I finally fixed my guitar, what exactly do I need in order to play guitar and it to be picked up on the computer, no via holding the amp near the mic or something faggy/low quality like that. Also does anyone know the person who speaks in most berzerker songs, such as at the start of "No one wins" - I am assuming they are just voice samples and not done by Berzerker.

Whats your faviroite Amon Amarth song?
Fate or Norns
or
Cry of the blackbirds - Cuz its AWESOME live

Oh no, it shouldn't. I like plenty of non-metal stuff myself. prog rock, jazz, darkwave, industrial, electronic, ambient, classical, etc. Although I'm not very knowledgeable in classification of certain other kinds of music I like.

Alright, you're in, though Mudvayne isn't metal.

My personal favorite is Prediction of warfare. Especially when the song gets quiet.

I've never seen them live, want to.

Meh, i only agree if its in the context that Kidd put it in, the having the money/time/etc to go see them but not going to see them, then you're a poser.
Don't like it? Don't be one! Go to a show! Learn an instrument! Hell, buy a fucking case of beer and show up to band practice!
Not a poser, been to a show, play guitar, i just don't have any bands to practice with or rock up to and besides that im still not legal to buy alcohol. Not to say i haven't tried before.
it's not THAT hard to start a small metal scene in your community. Rob started a venue in his GARAGE, a venue that got NATIONAL booking, with BYOB booze, the whole nine. If you let the bands crash on your floor (and you'd be SURPRISED how talented of a band who will) and come up with a tank of gas or two's worth of cash, you get to HEAR the real metal stories, hell, you may get a chance to LIVE some.
I plan sometime in the future on investing in a small factory unit (i love industrial area) or 3. Of course this is going to take serious $$$ depending on what i put it into but if and when it does happen i shall heed this advice.
I can go to Chicago, St. Louis, New Orleans, any part of the south or east coast, really, and we can work out some details.
Guess that doesn't mean Australia? Sorry dude.
You don't just have to do it with me, either, you can do the same in your neighborhood, your town, your city, and it'll be the best fucking time you ever had.
As i said in the previous post, i myself have been trying to bring what scraps of metal this shitty suburb has together.

Seconded since when the hell does a metal band have a fucking turn table?! Let alone they need 9 people to make shitty music.
I'm going to a Concert tomorrow at a local venue and they have a prize for whoever have the best costume, so I'm going all kvlt spike gauntlets, face paint ect. I can't wait, going to be shweet.

Congratulations on losing already. By best costume, they would usually mean most creative, unless they're the types who find stereotypes to be "original".
Slow desolation like a funeral procession
The lovely one screams like she's caught between stations
I eat the razor, a mouthful of God's flesh
Hey, I found a metal band from my town! Too bad they only had one demo from 1993. But the drummer is in Shadow Gallery, which I happen to like.
This is kinda big news for me, considering where I live.

Eh, I don't care if I win or not. I've been wanting to wear corpsepaint and everything so I thought when better than Halloween?
Besides I haven't met someone around here that actually knows what corpsepaint is. So maybe they'll think I'm original lol.

theres some turntables stuff in that song, you can easely ear it in the beginning.

on 0:32 you can ear it for the first time in the song.

lol, your right, but slipknot really isn't a "normal band", especially considering the fact that one of the members of the band is actually the sampler... and does absolutely nothing live, except headbanging and putting some strange noises.
But for the guitar riffs, I really wouldn't say they are rock or hardrock...
there is a name for that kind of riffs, and it's nu-metal (still not metal, I know)

That's a pretty tame taste. Why don't you try out some heavier bands? Cannibal Corpse, Gorguts, Demilich, Deteriorot, Master. Perhaps even further down the alphabet. I dunno, I'm not incredibly knowledgeable on death metal. I do know that those bands are pretty wimp ass melodeath. Get heavy.
Well. That was disrespectful.
I covered Shores of Sheol's outro "Sensucht" today. I think it turned out really good. No midi was used, that's a real drum, a real tambourine and me playing keyboards.
Speaking of local gigs Psycroptic are coming to this country town I call home in Novemeber for the Australian national tour.
They'll be the only internationally recognised band to have ever been here that I know of.
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.
Am i the only one thats just picked up on the fact that Slayer has some "new" shit coming along? I say "new" because that song sounds like Jihad mixed with a bit of new stuff. Though i won't doubt that they're gonna put out something good.
do tell if this is old news
Also, Sanctium, that death metal band i said originated from around here/the dudes came to my school.

Yeah I've heard they're planning on making the next album the last.

I honestly thought Christ Illusion was one of the best Slayer albums...though I by no means grew up listening to slayer.

Oh yes, I've seen that band on MA before. At first, I was like "Did someone deliberately put Slipknot on MA just to piss people off?" but then I found out it was a completely different band.

Heh, I had a look to find any metal bands from the Wirral and here's what I found:
Beneath the Light
Devoid (UK)
Edge of Apocalypse
Goat Throttler
Morbid Symphony (UK)
Good to know there's metal bands from the Wirral. However, there's around 40 metal bands from Liverpool, including Carcass.

The closest band I can find to Ballymena is Waylander.
...And they're in Armagh.

Agreed.
I mean, If you're really Dedicated, you'll do anything.
My first Gig was when I went to a CANNIBAL CORPSE gig in Reykjavík, last year.
That's a 2 hour flight, cost me 10.000 krónur I had to crash on my older sister's floor, when I got there, I also had to bike for an hour to get to the actual venue on some stolen bike.

yeah man, the Scene's only there because someone started it in the First place, And if there isn't one, you can just start one, Underground at first, then stuff kicks in.
SPEAKING OF WHICH:
And by details I mean a place for me to jam and crash with Steve. If shit works out sweet, I'll bring out my live production rig and we can get SERIOUS.
On the other side, if you're a talented motherfucker and are willing to relocate, HOLLER. You don't have to move here; just pop in for a weekend, jam out, record some demo tracks, get drunk, go home, think about it, and make a decision later.
Ah I would be willing but I sort of live on an Arctic Island in the Middle of the atlantic ocean.
We don't have to just PASSIVELY be fans! This is a community, a culture, a way of life, and it'll blow your mind when you line all of that up and just rock the fuck out for a while. You don't just have to do it with me, either, you can do the same in your neighborhood, your town, your city, and it'll be the best fucking time you ever had.
yeah man, I'm stirring shit up Here in Akureyri, the Scene's been underground for a really long time, but I'm sending people songs and shit and gigs are filling up.
Sleeping on floors and getting drunk doesn't make you more of a Metal fan than someone who listens to the music privately.
I agree that it'd be nice for the culture to be more prominent and it is fun getting drunk and having a good time with like minded individuals at a gig. But it doesn't mean you're better because you do that.
